"It is progressive, blue, reasonable, secular, and smug"

Oy vey.

Oh boo hoo. I'm a Conservative who lives in MD. It doesn't upset me that not everyone thinks the way I do. That would be freaking boring. Though, I am kinda proud we disliked Gov O'Malley so much we voted in Larry Hogan. And right now he's in the Top 5 of the most popular governors. I don't agree with all of his stances, but it's a good start.

Come to Massachusetts. You'd love it here :). But in reality I know the annoyance of having different political views than the majority, but you just have to use that to make your own views stronger. There's some conservatives here in Mass but they get over it, you will too..and I mean that in a kind way.

If Texas is a bellweather then America is in for a gross combination of anti-environmentalism and rampant illegal immigration.

MA is quite the haven for people who think that way, yeah =p sometimes the minority can really push through too! I'm not super familiar with US politics overall, but isn't Mitt Romney a Republican? Kudos to him for managing to become governor of MA of all places lol

I can't be arsed with the american misguided definitions of political wings and pegging whatver they feel like to them in their constant internal struggle.

Once the debate become inteligent i might care.

Our Govenor right now is actually Republican funnily enough. He's socially liberal however so we don't really mind. He barely beat the Democrat but he has a pretty high approval rating right now. I personally don't like him because he supports private education over public, but he isn't a bad guy. (Charlie Baker is his name if you're interested). But ya Massachusetts is an awesome place to live if you are Liberal, or even Moderate. People always portray New Englanders as rude and not-talkative...and while we do drive crazy :P, a majority of Massachusetts residence are very accepting and kind. We keep to ourselves, but we accept and care for everyone. It's a great place to live :)

From my few times travelling to New England, I found it super nice, the people included! I have a cousin living in the state for college too and he also loves it. I didn't realise that there was such a stereotype there =o

Some people have this notion that New Englanders, Bostonians in general, are extremely rude. I never really understood it. And that's awesome he's going to school here. Happy he enjoys it. Im heading off to college next month here and I'm excited! :)

I cannot afford to move, people. That's why I complain. :P But I do think that Massachusetts sounds nice. I know the state's reputation. :)
