If this is the man you are referring to, you are spelling his name incorrectly. I'm just completely lost by this series of comments though because I would more assosiciate Seinfeld with jokes which start with "What's the deal with X, don't you hate how they always try to get you to Y their Zs? I mean, what's up with that?" not % based humour, perhaps there is a maths based comedian named Seinfield who I've not heard of, if that is the case then I would love to check him out. Sounds fantastic! |
I feel as though this has taken a very strange and turn for whatever reason.
Certainly some of his stuff, would starts with things like "what's the deal" or something around those lines. That being said its a bit one dimensional for Seinfeld to simply do that. I think its just the nature of the reception people had. In any case, one thing he also did on occasian, was talk about how manipulative certain companies could be. Now I'm not sure if your intention with your original post was to cite their manipulative motive behind giving people a price cut because there is a higher chance they would purchase the at a reduced price than buy it a full price, but that is certainly what I got from it. The percent itself is immaterial to the whole thing, because in general I can imagine making a point like that in his routine. Whether he specifically uses percents or not did not even cross my mind aside from when I made my first post, which was more about the delivery.
