Yes, this is just a simple thread that I am making here

After leo-j has reminded us of how much people hate vgchartz, I wanted to create a thread about how great vgchartz really is.

I have been to many, many gaming sites in the past and they all gave the usual stuff; news, news, polls, silly editorials and such. 

And the forums were always, always, ALWAYS rampant with fools with no data whatsoever....it got so much that I have to shake my head in disgust and with pity for mankind in general.

Then, I came to this website. At first, I was afraid to join in (wasn't used to typing in posts and sharing my opinions, especially when I was afraid this place would be like all the others).

But then as a I got used to seeing the same posters and notice their attitudes....I realized that this place was starting to become more and more like a family. Yeah sure, you all have your fights here or there (esp. when a new guy comes along and starts to troll or when another absurd statement is made again) but there are very few times when people would come along and just start spewing hate towards people in these forums.

Seems like, no matter how much some would deny, I believe everybody acts like family towards each other and I feel that this is quite rare to see on game forums.

With friendly forums, a website with a purpose to keep gamers informed about estimates on sales and lots of information to be shared, this is why I believe vgchartz is the one of, if not the best, video-game related website on the internetz.

What is your opinion on the matter?

VGChartz is actually the first video-game related website I've registered to. I think GameFAQs was too "hardcore" for me, or even IGN and GameSpot's boards. I also think GameTrailers' is just full of trolls that can't even shoot good arguments about certain topics like console sales and everything (I guess the data we get here helps, in a way!). Viva VGChartz!

I just posted this in the other topic. I'll put it here also, and be done with it.

ioi and TheSource can't see this because they are to close to it(to clarify, they don't realize how important and renound the site it to the average analysis, TheSource is literally doing Patcher's job for him, and better than he ever could), but the truth is, from a hardware perspective, any analyist in the world who wants to give semi-accurate and accountable worldwide predictions for immediate and distant analysis of the videogame market, only has one place where all that information is compiled in a readable and accessable way, and that is VGChartz.

Anyone who predicts anything, those predictions can be researched, and found to be probably, improbable, or impossible, in any 15 minutes of the day, using VGChartz tools, data, and knowledgable community.

Anyone who questions the usefullness of this website to industry analyists, simply doesn't know what this site has to offer, and underestimates it greatly.

These forums are the only ones I ever really got into. I tried other places, but they were always so dull.

anyway, I like looking at software sales for games along with hardware,and the Vgchartz forums are also the best on the internet, I spent most of my time here than any other site on the internet

You guys shouldn't forget the Game Database. Full of valuable information in there.

The reason the forums are so great on this site, are because the mods are actually involved and excited about the community, and not hateful, haggard, jaded, and pretending to be neutral in all things, like most other sites.

Also, there are an equal number of Nintendo fanboys on this site, as other fanboys, and Nintendo fanboys always seem to brighten things up a little. They are like little bundles of joy.
