As you may know, I've written quite a decent number of articles for the site since joining the writing team early last year, many of them covering the history of video games in one form or another. I have quite a few different ideas in my head already for a possible topic, but then I realized I'd actually like to hear what the community here would be interested in reading about.

History of Metal Gear

This is the also where new polls on future video game history topics will be found. I will likely put every other new series up for a vote here, meaning the one following Metal Gear will be my choice, but the one after will be voted by the community again.

While I'm now writing the History of Metal Gear articles, I'll be alternating those with the Forgotten Gems articles as well. Regarding those, if there are games you might want to see covered in one of those articles, you can leave a comment here suggesting some. Just remember, I have to have played the game to talk about it in any detail. 

If you do suggest games I haven't played, I will try to get to them at some point if I can. It just might take a while.

Finally, any and all feedback and comments in general about the articles I've written are always welcome. 

Well, I think the important thing, is that you do what interests you the most. That way, you'll enjoy doing it, and the quality will be better. However, if we're going to vote, I guess doing it based on a specific genre would be a pretty cool idea.

That's why I'm not giving people free range to choose whatever they want, since I wouldn't be able to write about every possible topic. I'm still choosing the options myself after all. 

Command & Conquer, Starcraft or Age of Empires would be nice. I've seen Final Fantasy covered to death, it'd be nice to see the RTS genre being covered for once.

Then yeah, I like seeing genre articles, so the RTS one would be cool, especially since I'm not the most well-versed in it myself.

History of one franchise in specific. Either Castlevania or Megaman.

Only the first game so far I'm afraid, although I do have the second game waiting on my PS3.

The rise of the SNK Street Fighter 2 clone army.

I've read articles on SNK's different fighting franchises. Hardcoregaming101 has some articles on them, like KOF, Fatal Fury and Art of Fighting.
