So, the Switch is on top this week? I thought that the PS4/3DS would have been higher from the Dragon Quest effect.

Well, it looks like the DQ  fans was already established on the 2 hardware. Things could have different if DQ XI if it is exclusive to PS4.
And Switch is the hot item at the moment with lotteries and stuff.

PS4 - DQ Heroes 1 and 2, Dragon Quest Builders
3DS- DQ Slime,  Remake and ports of Main DQ,  Dragon Quest monster.

Wow nice hold for DQ XI. Sold almost the initial shipments. Noice! 500K in total.
DQXI Officially reached 1M in PS4.

Oh Crash. Crash Bandicoot, Crash in Japan. Luckily the Europe and NA pick up the slack.

Switch. The king of Japan!

Its only 4mill behind  the king  of consoles  in japan the ps4.

Amazing  Sales  overall.

You realize the PS4 had a 3 year head start, right?

wow 60k is great for Switch hardware, let's hope Nintendo can keep available at least 40k Switches per week

Switch is still supply constrained, so people that want Splatoon 2 are jumping at every oportunity to get a Switch to play the ame, which makes the console keep selling a high number whenever there is units available to sell.DQ, on the other hand, launched on two systems that are already have a install base, so there is a good chance that the people that wanted that game already owned one of the two systems, making the hardware sales numbers be more front loaded and having "fewer legs".

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Looks like the 3/2DS from here.

Excellent week overall.

With this week, I think its safe to say that the Switch baseline will increase compared to the last Quarter. Its still hard to say where it will land, but I think 50k isnt out of question yet.

Splatoon, as always, pulling in some great number, as does DQ XI.Switch software overall seems to be doing well too!Well, at least Nintendo published games.

Yeah, that's true I guess. But I had assumed that it'd least at least longer than a week.

One more interesting thing to note is that the DQ XI shipsments are at 3 million units. With this week, retail sales of the game stands at roughly 2.6 millions.Given that next week sells about 50% of this week, Square will have to ship even more units of the game, making DQ XI even more of a success.I think 4 million in Japan alone, only with PS4 and 3DS, isnt out of the question!
