I'm guessing Animal Crossing and/or Smash Bros, but what is up with those numbers? Aside from the third parties, every single one of them is an absurd lowball.

Also, why are Mario Kart and Splatoon even listed? They just got entries in 2017.

Really confused on your game sales brosef. Are those all new games? Are you saying you expect Splatoon 2 to sell 3 mill IN 2018 or by 2018?

So Nintendo has said a Metroid is due 2018

"We’ve announced a nice lineup through this year, and next year we have some big games coming with Metroid 4," said Scibetta. "2018 will be around Metroid, Kirby, Yoshi, new Pokemon game has been announced. We feel good about the lineup for this year and beyond."

but I think it will get delayed. My theory is Animal Crossing will be 2018's killer hit, Fire Emblem will be released in September, and Kirby and Yoshi are early titles. I dont know what else.

I think there is a real risk of a drought in 2018. As a Switch owner, that concerns me greatly. I fear that Nintendo is front loading the release schedule, as they have to move hardware.

I think there's a little confusion as to what a killer app is.

It's not the highest selling software of the year (although it can be), but rather software that sells hardware, LOTS of hardware. It's like what Wii Sports and Super Mario Bros did for the Wii and NES respectively.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

those are both the highest selling games of their hardware.

Yes but to use an example that isn't, Twilight Princess was a major killer app at the start of the Wii.  It sold very well, but not nearly what other games did.  Super Mario Galaxy, same thing.  Not the biggest sellers, definitely killer apps.

As for what 2018's big game is, could be many things. Nintendo is playing their cards VERY close to the chest. I mean shoot, they managed to keep Pokken DX, Metroid Samus Returns, AND Metroid Prime 4 secret until the announcements PLUS they kept smaller projects secret too. Animal Crossing, Pikmin 4, Pokemon all strike me as strong possibilities. Metroid, unlikely. They could have Fire Emblem in the fall, go for more of a tag-team approach of two middling level killer apps (Pikmin and Fire Emblem for example) instead of one huge one. Or they could surprise us completely with another announcement, who knows.

Yeah I know he's right I was just trying to explain they aren't the best exampels. Halo and Gears, or Uncharted 1-3 are great examples too

Better be Nintendo-edition Brazzers.
