Whatever they’re paying patcher it’s not enough.

Yep, the world is unjust.

I can't believe that somebody pays this guy. My 7 year old niece could figure this out after a 2 minute explanation of the state of the industrey.

Price advantage is just ONE of the reasons. X doesn't stand a chance against PS4 this holiday, or any time after.

Didn't realize this was a question.  But yes, of course....  Half the price and so many games.

The Xbox One X wasn't even made to be competing with any of them though(perhaps that could change in the future I guess?), which is why Microsoft was fine with pricing it at $500 since they said they know this is a product for people who really want extra for their money and that it's more of a high quality item for people who are willing to pay for the best that's available right now.

A lot of people seem to be trying to paint it as Microsoft trying to overtake the PS4 with the Xbox One X but Microsoft has literally said the opposite of that this entire time.

Its not?

If you really think the XB1X isn't competing with the PS4/PS4pro...... then you are worse than Patcher.

I doubt any sane thinking person would think that MS believe they can "overtake" the PS4 family of consoles this gen. No, that is ridiculous. But make no mistake, MS wants more of that market share than it has and at the very least would want to slow down just how quickly the PS4 keeps pulling away while also setting itself up for the next gen.

And the funniestthing about the whole extra for money, high quality, best there is right now argument? is that if those are the people really buying the XB1X, then wouldn't they just buy a PC? Especially being that all the games on the XB1X are also gonna be available on the PC.

Of course it won't. I buy PS4 fo the games not the power.

All i'm saying is that according to Microsoft it's not, that has been what they said multiple times. They said they know it's a premium product for people who want to pay more for more, which is why it's $500. Does that mean you have to believe what they say? No, you can think whatever you want in your head, but it is what they are saying for now.

It all depends on how the One X goes sales-wise. If it is a modest success and sells a few million i'm guessing Microsoft would be fine with that, but if it takes off and starts selling a lot more then they'll probably try to go off of the momentum and start to push it more.

It doesn't matter what MS says, or you think MS is saying. And I doubt you can show us a single place that MS clearly says they are not making the XB1x to compete with the PS4/pro...... yes they said its a premium console, that doesn't mean its not competing for the same game dollars.

Besides, common sense dictates that the XB1X is in the very same "home console" market that the XB1 and the PS4/PS4pro is in.

And the bolded part? Please just stop..... the XB1 launched at $500, does that mean it wasn't competing with the PS4? The PS3 launched at $600.... does that mean it wasn't competing with the 360?

Come on man........

I even found several articles for you in case one wasn't enough. Need more?

@ second bolded: You're going with a logic of "well it' a videogame system releasing in the video game industry so it's of course competing since people have to choose which console they will buy", I never denied that. I simply said that's not what Microsoft made it for specifically though, this idea that "Oh and with THIS we're going to finally overtake other consoles and become #1 again" thinking some people are trying to say Microsoft had (which who knows, could be true, but nobody would be able to know that so it's irrelevant), which is what they have said the opposite of this entire time, which you seem to be having a hard time understanding.

@ third bolded: Please just stop what, saying the truth? It's not my fault if you can't handle it my guy.
