You rated Naruto Shippudden like a 7.something.

The amount of back story and filler episodes this shit had you ma a well rate it the same as DBS.

DBS started it's arcs with the previous movie (i.e.e gone back to what we seen already just like Naruto) Now it is doing it's ow thing.

I agree it is not great but if I have to rate it it be somewhere at Naruto's level. It is like the good, the bag and the ugly of anime lol.

DB has never really been up in the top tier.It has always been your average anime about power levels and each arc someone magically much stronger who has been hiding away appears.

That's my favorite too.

I watched Code Geass for the first time this year and it became my favorite ever, even above all the animes I have nostalgia for. I loved every aspect about it, from the characters (my favorite part about it) to the mecha battles to the overall plot and dat ending. It's one of those things that just click with your taste (in terms of videogames, I'm feeling the same with Nier automata. I guess I really like robots/mechas :p).

Naruto's plot overall was consistent to amazing, the characters were reasonably developed, and the fights at least had meaning to it. Hidan/Kakuzu vs Asuma's team, Kakashi vs Obito, Naruto vs Sasuke, Sasori vs Sakura and Granny, Pain vs Jiraiya, Kisame vs Guy, Orochimaru vs Sarutobi - these fights actually brought tension and strengthened the show.

As I said in the post, I never count fillers. I skip any, so I do not judge an anime's quality based on it.

Ot- it seems this thread got more replies than I anticipated. Is it still my least favorite anime? Yes, but I'm pretty sure it isn't the worst. As I said, I'm only a casual fan. There's probably some weird shit much worse than dbs.

I'm very harsh on it, but in all honesty most of my review scores weren't given too much thought (excluding Naruto). All I gotta say is don't take me too seriously. I watch anime for fun and watch about 5 episodes a week. I'm far from an expert.

Also, Bobobo-bo Bo-bobobo will forever be the best anime

I think Dragon Ball Super is pretty great, and I'm keeping up with it daily. I'm fine with some of the changes, like Vegeta being a goofball. I think it makes me a more interesting character than just the angry guy who's main goal is just being better than Goku. I think many of the characters got more interesting in Super. I'd even say Beerus is likely my favorite character in the new series, for being such a comical, yet dangerous character. I've had my fair share of rants on it, but I def wouldn't say it's bad.

I'd probably give it an 8/10 overall currently.

Also, here's my ranking from the anime I've seen

1. Boku no Hero Season 1 - 9
2. Log Horizon - 10
3. LH Season 2 - 9
4. 3-gatsu no Lion - 10
5. Erased - 8
6. Dragon Ball Z - 8
7. K-On! - 5
8. K-On!! - 5
9. Kobayashi-san no Dragon Maid - 9
10. Konosuba Season 1 - 9
11. Konosuba Season 2 - 9
12. Lucky Star - 7
13. ReLIFE - 8
14. Rurouni Kenshin - 9
15. Sakamoto Desu Ga - 9
16. Shingeki no Kyojin - 7
17. The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya - 6
18. TMoHS Season 2 - 5
19. Sword Art Online - 7
20. SAO Season 2 - 5

Lucky Star? Oh boy, I think this thread needs a sequel.

1) Characters

Tien, Yamcha, Piccolo, Gohan, and so many more simply turned into background noise as Goku and vegeta go Super Sand Lesbian or whatever the hell the next form is called. Why is it that these characters with thought put into them were now just thrown away? Even with the current arc, you don't feel the same intesity or pressure from the older series' fights.

2) Ruined characters

Vegeta is a bitch, Goku is a complete dumbass, Trunks is an emotional 30 year old who looks 12 and probably shops at hot topic, Bulma is literally nothing but Ms.Einstein, Trunks and Goku Jr. both look exactly the same...

What I fail to understand is why the author of Dragon Ball believed these changes were necessary. We get that Goku is dumb, but it actually frustrates me seeing him turn into a useless idiot who can only punch things.

vegeta changing character suddenly is also annoying. In fact, they felt the need to change so much to the point where it doesn't even feel as though it's them. Frieza is still as despicable as ever; why couldn't everyone else not be ruined?

So, you're upset that those particular characters are actually within their character... Got it. Honestly a lot of your arguments contradict themselves. I get that you don't enjoy Super though and honestly at the end of the day that's your opinion. There certainly are some things you could touch upon on Super that doesn't make a lot of sense. Unfortunately you missed the mark.

Current gaming platforms - Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, New 3DS, PC

I still watch DB Super just for the love of the franchise. When I watched one of the latest episodes (ToP arc, SPOILER ALERT!!!) where Kale was transforming into LSSJ and kept on shouting "SON GOKU!", I think I died a little inside.

I prefer DB abridged by TeamFourStar (100/10 rating for me). Still, support the official release guys!

I like Dragonball Super more than Z, and GT. lol

8/10

I understand some characters will phase out. I was fine with certain naruto characters not being as relevant during Shippuden. However, I think Super is failing to effectively introduce new characters. We see the Akatsuki, Madara, Hagoromo, Killer Bee, and others gain the spotlight and be memorable characters. Super lacks this. Besides Hit and (maybe) Jiren, I was unimpressed by a lot of the new characters. Beerus is a neat character, Goku Black wasn't too shabby, but everyone else is a disappointment.

Sure, Z was flawed, but I'm not using nostalgia glasses. The reason I enjoyed it was because it was still neat seeing the characters I loved seeing. The Ginyu Force, Bulma, Vegeta upon arriving, Nappa, Frieza and his race, the Androids, etc.

1.5/10 and this review had some obvious exaggerations. Bobobo clearly isn't a 10/10, and this isn't the worst anime ever. However, I haven't watched many, and this one was my least favorite.

I don't give reviews much however. If I sat down and did every single show properly, expect them all to be different. I'd give DBS more of a 4/10. If the show improves, then I'll adjust as needed.
