Animes I've watched and my personal scores:

1. One Punch Man (9.3/10)

2. Mob Psycho (8.8/10)

3. Naruto (7.2/10)

4. Naruto Shippuden (7.7/10)

5. Dragon Ball (8.2/10)

6. Dragon Ball Z (8.1/10)

7. Assassination Classroom (8/10) [haven't watched season 2, which I heard is even better and fixes many of the flaws]

8. My Hero Academia (9.2/10)

9. Death Note (9.5/10)

10. Black Butler (8/10)

11. Death Parade (6.8/10)

12. The greatest anime of all time, Bobobo-bo bo-bobobo (10000000000000000000/10 nothing touches this masterpiece)

Note: I left out animes like Pokemon and whatnot. I was gonna put Avatar, but I then remembered it was always an American creation first. Also left out Jojo(2012) since I am only in the beginning, but so far I am enjoying it.

Dragon Ball Super may be one of the worst animes of all time. Currently, it is the most painful show I have ever seen. People may bash other shows and call them the worst, but they don't match DBS.

Naruto and Naruto Shippuden had issues. Specifically, they had Sasuke's plot armour, the weird plot holes, terrible pacing at the end, questionable ending, lack of development in many female characters, and inconsistent animation in the beginning of Shippuden. However, the show still had a lot of good to it. Excluding the fillers (which I never look at), Naruto was still good. Was it legendary and perfect? No, but the morals, character development, and world structure was still enough to make it very solid. In all honesty, if the great Ninja War arc never existed or took place differently, Shippuden would easily be a 9/10 for me. I just feel as though Kishimoto made some mistakes at the end, but it was acceptable.

Sword Art Online is bad, but I honestly don't mind. As terrible as it is, I realize that everything has potential. Unfortunately, SAO's creator simply took too many terrible turns to make it a disappointment. Death Parade took some heavy hits at the end, but I still enjoyed it.

Now, what separates DBS from everything? Well, it tarnishes Dragon Ball's name and makes the most disgusting version of a Dragon Ball show I have ever seen. I thought GT was terrible, but this took the cake. The plot feels as though they went to a shitty Goku fanpage and took everything Xx_Gokuballs69_xX said on his 4chan page. I mean, come on - Black Goku, several universes, angels coming out of nowhere, Vegeta somehow turning into a god, Trunks turning into a crybaby, Gohan becoming a professor...What the hell is this?

Super is an embarassment to everything Dragon Ball was. Don't get me wrong, but shows had issues (I did read the original though - never watched). At the same time however, they aren't anywhere near Super's issues.

1) Characters

Tien, Yamcha, Piccolo, Gohan, and so many more simply turned into background noise as Goku and vegeta go Super Sand Lesbian or whatever the hell the next form is called. Why is it that these characters with thought put into them were now just thrown away? Even with the current arc, you don't feel the same intesity or pressure from the older series' fights.

2) Ruined characters

Vegeta is a bitch, Goku is a complete dumbass, Trunks is an emotional 30 year old who looks 12 and probably shops at hot topic, Bulma is literally nothing but Ms.Einstein, Trunks and Goku Jr. both look exactly the same...

What I fail to understand is why the author of Dragon Ball believed these changes were necessary. We get that Goku is dumb, but it actually frustrates me seeing him turn into a useless idiot who can only punch things.

vegeta changing character suddenly is also annoying. In fact, they felt the need to change so much to the point where it doesn't even feel as though it's them. Frieza is still as despicable as ever; why couldn't everyone else not be ruined?

3) Terrible pacing

Currently, things either take fifty thousand years or two seconds of explosions. Was Dragon Ball or Z the best at pacing? No, but they still made it interesting beyond explosions and boring plots. What's the point of trying to even build up if it merely involves Goku fighting X, powering up to Blue, and then needing Y to completely finish him/her off?

4) Abhorrent plot

Take out any part of DBS right now and it won't change anything (except Beerus arriving). Frieza revived? Zamasu and Future Trunks? Universe 6 vs 7? Besides the introduction of characters, you can take these parts out without anything happening. It's irritating, especially since in the OG and Z we saw the arcs have impact on the rest of the story.

To take it further, the plot is never good. In Naruto, we saw the Akatsuki and Orochimaru bring a lot of interesting things to the show. In My Hero Academia, we see the villains trying to attempt something strange. Black Butler saw the cult which wanted to purify everything.

DBS fails to bring this excitement or twist. Frieza returning was an absolute disappointment, Beerus' revival was hot garbage (every episode was him going to destroy the earth, stopping because Jimmy brought cupcakes, and then Beerus being a baby because his food was stolen and threatening to destroy the earth - repeat the cycle for the first 15 episodes), Zamasu collapsed quickly, Future Trunks was annoying and had terrible development, Uni's 6v7 was decent, and the current arc is nothing short of disappointment. We knew how Naruto would end, but the way it happened was different than what a lot of people expected. No one believed it would ever evolve past orochimaru until we thought the Akatsuki would be the largest threat.

5) Other stuff

The music? The same song or two played throughout every episode. The intros were both good, but the endings were terrible. However, that doesn't matter. What matters is the soundtrack, and it's as bland as soda from McDonald's. I don't want to hear the same mediocre strings song that brings no emotion whatsoever. I mean, come on. Do you really expect people to feel anything when you're stuck with dull plotlines and a piece you've had to hear literally every episode?

Animation

Dragon ball and Z never had the best animation, but they had a style. It gave a personality to the show which Super lacks. Flashy colours and twenty forms of super saiyan will never impress me. To make it worse, this results in an inconsistent animation. I'd happily take Z's animation if it at least breathes some sort of soul into this miserable piece of creation.

Conclusion:

I'd easily consider this the worst anime I've ever seen and one of the worst ever. Anyone on websites like myanimelist who have the audacity to give it anything above a 7 are ignoring the most irritable mistakes I have ever seen. This show isn't laughably bad - it's terrible to the point where I actually feel miserable watching it.

Imagine Naruto with only the fillers, and the fillers' plot were taken from a fan website. That is Dragon Ball Super for you.

Final Score: 1.5/10

I'd only be a weeb if I had a waifu. I don't.

Anyway, this is honestly a pretty enjoyable side hobby. I watch about one or two episodes of shows a day. Only 20 minutes, and I don't waste my time debating whether show X or show Y is better and whether character X or Y is stronger.

But, I cannot let Dragon ball Super slide. This show was bad enough to piss me off once from how incredibly stupid it is. Call me a weeaboo, but this is the one time I will actually talk about anime

It was just a joke. But i formyself lost the interesst exactly because of that stupid Voices. I mean who is talking like that. And the jokes in anime series are always the same. There is that hero. He is a little bit a clown but extremely strong and is eating much. I mean. 30 years now. And still the same jokes. Ruffy, son goku, ash, naruto and so on. All same personalitys with different styles. And i cant take backflashs while they are fighting? Thats just BS for me now. The list is long but i will not write it down now. I can just not see the same things over and over again.

But good if you like it. And yes. I have watched DB super i think one episode. And it has not the same DB feeling.

"1. One Punch Man (9.3/10)
2. Mob Psycho (8.8/10)"

Man, One Punch Man has to be one of the most overrated anime I've ever seen. I know the term overrated as a whole is flawed because it's basically "you should all like this less than you do!" And for someone like me who believes in subjectivity entirely when it comes to reception to media, that's a problem. But that's simply the best way to describe it.

The first episode is like a short beautiful indie film with great animation and interesting ideas of heroism mixed in with funny comedy. The underlying themes were great and it had amazing direction while being short and to the point. Honestly, One Punch Man would be more meaningful as one single episode.

Then the rest of the show BECOMES the joke. It might be done for irony, but most of the time their isn't a joke behind it, it simply IS a generic shonen super hero show. .I know that some of the best "deconstructions" are shows that are taken from the perspective of your "average" genre show just to pull the rug from out under you, but that's NOT One Punch Man, it is literally just a subversion show that uses subversion to make a joke here and there. That's it. There isn't a rug pulled under you with a "gotcha!" moment, and when there rarely is it feels inadequate because the other 99% of the show is shoping for a new rug(perhaps because it really tied the room together) Considering popular anime has been excusing it's flaws with "meta" commentary for a while now, this doesn't make up for anything. After the first episode, the show largely becomes drivel, besides the joke where Saitama tells Genos to hurry up his story, and the episode where Saitama makes himself look like a fraud to bring other Super Heroes to attention.

Compared to Mob Psycho, One Punch Man IS a joke. Mob Psycho is this beautiful story about the different perspectives characters take up. How everyone is born with a talent; and you can waste your life waddling and complaining in the shadow of glory, or you can find your own talent. It's closer to a super hero deconstruction than One Punch Man, and it's not even technically a super hero show. Every thing subverts in the show, and not just for the sake of doing it but to make it more likable. Instead of having the annoying "GYM DUDES WHO ARE JERKS" theme they simply want to see the MC grow with them and improve his physical attributes. I could go on and on about how Mob Psycho is one of the best anime I've had the pleasure of seeing, but the point is that the difference in quality is staggering. One Punch is like a 3 or *maybe* a 4/10, Mob is a 9.

That's hilarious!

But I fear he's ruining his throat with that voice. (Worth it though, it's cracking me up.)

With the weird videos Filthy Frank is doing now, I'm sure he's moved on from it. I don't blame him. Looks like he's happier doing rap videos.

I've heard of "Filthy Frank" before (mostly on 9gag), but never bothered to look him up.
First time I've really seen anything from the guy.

One Punch man is a hit or miss. Personally, I believed it was very good. it showed more to Saitama than the fact that he can become stronger or do these super ultra moves 5000. When he took the blame for all heroes and said he just stole credit to his final fight in the anime, I felt this show was a very solid way to add memorable moments into satirical shows. It's not the greatest of all time, but I think its unique nature and the (so far) pleasant first season has me waiting for the second season. With enjoyable animation, a solid sountrack, and the satisfying ending, I thought a high review fit it.

Is 9.3 too much? Maybe. I was just throwing review scores around. If I were to be more specific, I'd say OPM is a 9.1 perhaps and Mob Psycho is a 9.
