You do realize that literally every form of American news is propaganda, right?

While true, that's 3rd party propaganda.  News with an agenda has been a things since who knows how long.  1st party political propaganda is a much more serious issue.   News media doesn't write and enforce your laws.

What do you think the state of the union is? A flashy bit of propaganda. Every president does it.

This. In the past few years, Erdogan has bought some of the most important news outlets that critised him, changing them into patriotic and pro-Erdogan media. As a result of this propaganda, he got the majority of the votes for his state reform which gave him a lot more power.

How to become a dictator, in 8 simple steps.

Step 1: Accuse everyone who says something bad about you of spreading lies.

Step 2: Attack the major media in order to lessen their power.

Step 3: Spread your own version of the truth.

Step 4: Make stronger laws against critisising the leader.

Step 5: Ban protests.

Step 6: Ban any media that aren't owned by the state or do exactly what the state wants.

Step 7: Give yourself more (lifetime) power by changing the constitution.

Step 8: Congratulations! You can now do whatever you want with your country.

And how exactly is that happening? The president should be able to have his opinion on the media if he so chooses. Some people want to think there is something there when there isn't.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Am I the only one who is legitimatey scared by this? I mean the president of the united states of america has created his own news network to spread propaganda.

This is dictatorship-101 and no ones doing anything about it.

Would you like a foil hat or a police scanner with your consipiracy, sir?

No, only dictatory have their own 'news'...  thats not good.  We don't want state approved news.  This is actually happening.

Trump is at step 3, Putin is at step 5 and Erdogan is at 7.

I'm not saying that Trump will necessarily become a dictator, but we need to stay critical and not just believe everything he says. Of course, we need to be critical towards every politician, but I think we should be extra careful with Trump since he has a lot of similarities with beginning dictators.

I expected Trump TV to happen, and like I predicted with the media and late night comedians going self destruct mode, I have to side with Trump on this. The media has gotten so pointless that this was bound to happen. I have to go to Trump speeches or correspondents like Sanders and Miller just to know what the heck is going on.

I can't believe I'm saying this, Fox News does not rely on emotional manipulation to the extent of networks of CNN and late night comedians, so I have to say currently Fox is the only network I can watch and potentially get something out of (I'm not talking about previous years, I'm saying currently, although I go online for most of my news). While Fox is talking about issues like North Korea and is trying to explain Trump's agenda, CNN, MSNBC, or any other MSM network is either complaining about Trump existing or a Tweet manipulated to make it sound like whatever they want, and if they "uncover" something, it's so small and insignificant that it doesn't matter (like how he communicated to the Boy Scouts).

Say what you will about this being propaganda, but your pure hatred for Trump got you here. You have it out so much for him, that instead of letting him be and potentially causing him to self destruct, you empower and give companies like CNN and people like Colbert platforms that push a false narrative. Donald Trump can lie all he wants, but what's it matter when you proceed to manipulate and lie about the issue and come off as being so desperate for dirt on Trump that Donald himself comes off as the adult in the room. People like CNN and Colbert portray DT as someone who is incompetent and illogical, and while those sometimes may be true, their reasons for him to get in trouble are stupid bar none. This is the equivalent to Donald Trump being a student who swears a lot at recess, but CNN and Colbert tattletale and try to get Trump in trouble for drinking his milk the wrong way. The media is idiotic bar none, thus why Trump TV can become a thing.

You made this bed out of your burning desire for something against the President, and now you have to lie in it.

Or, you know... you could watch non-american news?

I do, I mentioned it in my comment. I don't normally go to Fox for my news feed, there's a personality or 2 I Like on the network but I dont go to Fox constantly for my news feed.

And lastly, those thinking Republicans are the enemy and Trump should be dead, you're the ones filled up on propoganda. No reasonable people wish death upon anyone, you come off as insane. I can sense the shortcomings of Republicans and am willing to call them out on their issues, and while I've never been fond of the Democratic Party, not once did I wish that Obama would die, in fact I wished him the best, because the better he does the better I do. If you seriously think Trump is pushing propoganda currently and want him dead, the next minimum 8-16 years will not be fun for you. While I may not agree with his own news network, every other source on TV is fake at this point, and he isn't wishing death upon CNN and MSNBC, he wants them to not lie about the news.

Even though Trump is making his own station for news, he comes off as the adult when people say I want Trump dead.

Putin is a dictator … ha ha, that’s a good one, you mean the president that has the highest approval ratings from his people,  then any American president in recent history .

Most dictators have high approval ratings. That's the point. :p

Normally, I do not support the idea of state-run broadcasters, but given the fact that the MSM is force-feeding Americans the leftist agenda of a bunch of rich multinational execs and bankers while Google and Youtube is actively censoring independent conservative media, I think Trump's network is pretty much a necessity at this point. If anything, it's probably too little too late.

Is this Venezuela or the US?
