Boy don't ya seem like a likeable fellow....Which games do you enjoy?! just asking...

Good job editing it from "you elisit trash piece of sh*t" to "Boy don't ya seem like a likeable fellow" lol.

I don't see how any of what I said makes me elitist. Someone said they didn't like the first hour of Doom and Horizon. I replied that you probably judged the games too quickly, but Horizon does have a bad intro. And then someone said that Doom was great because it was like Doom 1. As an avid fan of the original Doom before Doom 2016 came out, I hate seeing this because it's just a misrepresentation of how different the games are. Doom fans say 2016 is like Doom 1 cause it's "fast paced", that was the big contention with Doom 3 - it wasn't fast paced. But both of the games play way differently even with the somewhat similar pacing. The thing about "idk if this is a joke" was in reference to Uncharted 4. Someone asked if Uncharted got better with it's climbing or something like that cause it just felt too easy and like an automated process to them only with a button press(i'm paraphrasing of course). Most uncharted fans have admitted this since the first game, it's not exactly an elitist or hater thing to admit. Though, 4 does the climbing better than other games in the series.

I like ALL of those games from what I've played, especially Doom 2016. Seeing ID software get their franchises back on track is great.

Anyways since you asked nicely the games I like this generation are : Dark Souls 3, The Witcher 3, Bloodborne, Ni-oh, Breath of the Wild, what I've played of Horizon, Doom 2016, Wolfenstein : The New Order, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds, Overwatch, Rise of the Tomb Raider(idk only Tomb Raider game i've played...I really loved it), Killing Floor 2, Rainbow Six siege, Persona 5 so far, etc.

I know you weren't being serious when you asked for a list of games, but I don't see how I can be an elitist when I like most new big releases. Criticism doesn't make you an elitist. I definitely criticize games in a crude way, but I don't think the manner of critique is as important as the critique itself. Most of what I said wasn't even a critique, I was answering a question and saying that x game really doesn't play like y game, I literally just criticized Horizon's intro(which is awful)

"Boy don't you come off as an elitist hater" is what I wrote, at least be honest...I was at least cause that's what your posts sounded like, but then I checked on your profile, noticed you're 16 years old and I understood your behaviour and tried to tone it down a bit...no offense.

i was actually being serious when I asked as your three really negative posts in a row combined with your sig made me worry about your state of mind. It fit your nick name just too well. Could've easily been possible you only like playing Bloodborne on highest difficulty..blindfolded of course.

I'm happy now that's not the case.

It has nothing to do with my age, nobody should assume someone is an elitist for critiquing a game in a manner that's crude, especially when I wasn't even that crude all I critiqued was the opening section of Horizon(and a faulty comparison between two games).

But no I like the games, and it's fine I guess I can see why you were thinking tha way.

I loved DOOM. It sorta feels like a gorey, realistic version of Ratchet & Clank, what with the zany weapons and emphasis on movement and dodging enemy fire.

Both amazing games.

Horizon isn't really a game you play for just an hour and then come to a verdict. It's starts off slow because it's a new IP for a band new character; there has to be some kind of build up, and even still I found the opening to Horizon to still be excellent just like the rest of the game. To each his own, though.

As for DOOM, I also thoroughly enjoyed that one, especially in the later levels where you actually go to hell. The mix of future technology and gory dark ages hell made for some awesome set pieces, and hell itself was really awesome to see and traverse. I couldn't find a thing wrong with that SP. Hell, even the MP offered a decent amount of fun.

0331 Happiness is a belt-fed weapon

It's a common issue with allot of games for me.

I impulsive buy because everyone is talking about it... I get about an hour into it, turn it off and never play it again.
Doom is a prime example.

I have to say, I did enjoy Doom 3 more. Especially once it was modded.

if you need an hour to determine if you like the game, I don't know how you love uncharted 4. that game start slow.

This. I love rhe Uc series but it took me a fair while to get into the game. that is generally the case with most really good games for me. I would suggest playing a few more hours before deciding

I am about to do the "Proving" so I am only in the begining. Hopefully the game will open up more later.

So you as well have only completed the intro, not even the tutorial and complain about it being too linear already?!

Guys, seriously....have you heard of let's plays?! Try watching some before you buy a game! That way you kind of know what you're getting yourself into. I can't...

I played a little more since yesterday.

The beginning of HZD was definitely cut-scene heavy. I was worried that my impressions from "let's play"-videos was confirmed. Now I am out in the bigger world (almost half of the map uncovered) and the game has opened up some more.

My original input to this thread was that I had three games that I was going to play this summer (HZD, Gravity Rush 2, Last Guardian) and that my expectations was turned upside down by reality - the game I thought I was going to enjoy the most (HZD) and the least (LG) was in reality flipped.

Learn, is what i can tell you. Just cause the big outlet reviews or the fans get crazy over every release, it doesn't mean you will enjoy it.
