Forums - Sony Discussion - I bought Doom and Horizon yesterday and did not enjoy either

I won't buy those games because I already know I wouldn't enjoy either.

When I first played Horizon it was a bit slow paced but after I gave it more time i was so hooked on it. But that's just me.

This. Give Horizon at least a few more hours of your time.

Buying order: Switch, better pc

wow a whole hour

I enjoyed Doom very much. The music is really awesome too.

Horizon I couldn't get into. Reminded me too much of samey open world games.

U gotta give more time for both games dude. Horizon starts slow bc u start out as toddler Aloy. Gets way better. I never thought I'd say it, since Uncharted is my favorite game series, but I ended up liking HZD more than U4. But you have to find the extras in the game to uncover the story, especially the vantage points. They are a nice surprise.

I'm not a big fps guy, but I liked Doom a lot. Normally I like games most for story, but Doom was just a lot of fun to play. The game is just BA.

Doom is not my type of game, at all, really didn't like it. Horizon is pretty good, in my opinion, but falls far short of Uncharted 4. Way too easy, sidequests are laughable and the writing is pretty weak. Animations, overall enjoyment of combat and world-building are top-notch though, and the score is amazing as well.

Doom is supposed to be mindless. It's about getting access to big f***ing guns and blasting the s*** out of monsters trying to tear you apart.

To each his own.I thought Horizon was great enjoyed it a lot more than Uncharted 4, hell the only Uncharted I ever liked was 2,never played 1 and got bored of 3 and didn't finish it.

I really like Doom and its fast paced action, the weapons feel great and satisfying to use against demons.

I didn´t enjoy Horizon but that has more to do with me being tired of open world games right now.

You judge games way to quickly. That's all I'm saying.
