Forums - Sony Discussion - I bought Doom and Horizon yesterday and did not enjoy either

Put about an hour into Doom and an hour into Horizen. Let me backtrack, I just finished Uncharted 4 and loved it. Then I seen that people said Horizen is up there with Umcharted for PS4 exclusivea and the Doom trailer looked fun.

Why did people like these games? Maybe Horizon atarts out slow and maybe Doom gets better? Doom is so mindless and Horizen is overly dramatic.

Pretty sure there was a demo weekend of Doom you could have tried out about a week ago which could have saved you a massive 12e

My only comment is, not every game is for everyone, that's just the way things go.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

if you need an hour to determine if you like the game, I don't know how you love uncharted 4. that game start slow.

Doom looks mindless and tedious for me I know that I wouldn't enjoy it.

I very rarely have a bad experience with a game I have bought as I know what I like to play and can tell if a game is something I'll enjoy. That said Im going to buy Horizon, I'm sorry it wasn't to your taste.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

I've played and finished Doom, and expect to get Horizon this week. I'd recommend giving each a couple more hours. It was only starting with level 6 in Doom that I really started getting in to it. I can't speak for Horizon but a big action RPG like that probably needs a larger investment than just one hour.

People like Doom because it is mindless. That's how they used to be when the franchise was big news.

As far as Horizon goes...was it not light-hearted enough or something?

Because they're high quality games, whether you personally like them or not.

Doom gets SO much better with time and the later levels. Horizon is awesome right from the start.

When I first played Horizon it was a bit slow paced but after I gave it more time i was so hooked on it. But that's just me.
