Forums - Nintendo Discussion - What Wii U games do you think could and should be ported to Switch?

I'd like a port of Sonic Racing Transformed perhaps doubled up with the earlier Sonic racing game than was on wii. Both games would work well with the Switch hardware with perhaps amiibo support to introduce a few Nintendo characters into the game. I know those characters already exist in Mario Kart but its not going to do Nintendo any harm if it helps sell more amiibo's.

No wii u version but would like to see Fallout 3 on the Switch. I've played it to death but still keep coming back to it. Maybe a half way house version between fallout 3 and fallout 4 with some improved graphic assets nabbed from fallout 4 to make it look better than the standard fallout 3.

Port all of the worthwhile ones over, I think it's great to fill holes in the release schedule, especially since they require little to no additional work on the assets (in constrast to the Wii ---> WiiU HD ports).

I however also think that they should establish a discount programm for WiiU owners on those games. Digital purchases should be easy enough to track and for physical there are the old ClubNintendo records. Most games I purchased for WiiU have been tracked by Ninty one way or another it shouldn't be too hard to veryfy the purchases for a discount.

I like how people complain about ports being made that it take time from Nintendo to release new games,
Porting games is easily handed down to other developers to port while Nintendo focus on new games.

They can port all the games, I dont care and I owned several of them on my Wii-U and the more people play those games the better.

Hell I might even buy most of them again like I did with Mario Kart.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

N.Sane Trilogy consists of 3 complete classic games remade from the ground up for PS4. GTAV and TLoU have many technical improvements on PS4 while Wii U ports on Switch barely have technical improvements. Why would you want to buy such expensive hardware to play Wii U games if you can play ALL Wii U games at cheaper price by buying... a Wii U?

When I buy a Switch I don't want its game library to consist of 50% full-priced Wii U games which I already played for (hundreds?) of hours and occasionally a new game.

So like MK8D has whole new modes added in, 1080p,new tracks etc, just out of curiosity what did they change in TLOU? Also GTA5 had 1st person mode added and graphics upgrade, similar to MK8D, Lego City Unndercover has new 2 player mode and 1080p, so I feel your definately been biast here. Rayman Legends doesn't seem to have much going on though, seems almost identical.

60fps, 1080p, better shadows and all in all (much) better graphics. So they added a bunch f things but mostly enhanced graphics and framerates. When the pro launched HDR and 4K.

Please excuse my (probally) poor grammar

They should port asap as many Wii U games as they can, that will mitigate at least in part the lack of support from big third party developers in Switch's first year for people that skipped the Wii U.

In my case though, I don't like to buy the same game twice, so if I ever buy a Switch the only Wii U port I would care about is Fatal Frame V, since it didn't get a retail version in America that's the only Wii U game I'm interested in that I've yet to buy.

I would totally aprove wii U games apear on switch, but at half of the price.

But since Nintendo didn't decreases the price, they should increase the value. Here some samples of how wii u games should be on switch:

-Super Mario 3d world: add the 3d land stages(playable with all characters) in a new world. Add cap. Toad to the package. I'd gladly pay 60$.

-zelda GameCube collection: twilight princess HD + wind waker HD + four swords adventures for sharing the play with joycons. Would totally worth the 60$.

-DKCTF+DKCR HD. Add Dixie and cranky to returns, including adding animations for the blowing mechanic. With characters with new mechanics, it could kinda revitalize the old game.

-Hyrule warriors and champions. Add botw content. Add botw link with lots of weapons, add as playable characters: urbosa, daruk, revali, mipha, Sidon, and as playable enemies: moblin, small guardian, yiga swordsman and (my favorite) lynel.
New story branch, maps, armies, modes, bosses. Add all 3ds and Dlc to the pack. Would pay 60$ happily.

-Yoshi + Kirby wooly yarn epic world. The wii and U games in a single pack.

-mii sports. Ditch the wii in the name, but bring it again, with new sports and all wii sports and resort with club HD and online treatment. Improved motion controls and HD rumble.

This would be a great idea. In the same vien I think a portable Dark Souls 1 +2 cart would sell like hotcakes.

The Wonderful 101- Would not be hard to flip the second screen sections to the main TV screen, you can do it in the game. The controls can already be done with analog sticks.

Xenoblade Chronicles X-Map button like most games.

Bayonetta 2-Nothing special to change.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE-Fro the texting it can be done the same way it's done in Persona 5 & Digmon Cyber Sleuth

Exactly my thoughts, though I'd add the first Bayonetta too for good measure

Yeah I know, just this person saying the Wii u ports so far are no different ie Mario Kart 8 and Lego city undercover when that's a blatant lie. Anyhow does TLOU look much better on Pro? Cos that game looked great on normal ps4.

Bayonetta 1+2 on the Switch, along with a Bayonetta 3 announcement (I can dream =P).

Well HDR surely improved a lot and 4k makes everything extra crisp. But HDR improved more than the extra resolution in my opinion. But the combination of high res and HDR and 60fps in total are a big improvement over the original PS3.
