Believe me, MS will release a new machine whenever they want to. They're practically coming out with two upgraded Xbox One consoles a year apart from each other. AND they'll announce them super early.

I agree with most points made here - though, coming into this thread I was sure it would be about "more support for XBOX (XBOX is not an acronym ) means more support for PS4P"

I hope it turns out true. That since they will make improved versions PS4Pro may get some love, I sure would like it.

Agreed with the OP. I wanted MS to go the same route of a hybrid console all the way back before the X1 was announced, releasing an expensive hightech console will not benefit them one bit, but it will benefit the market leader.

History shows a $400 PS4 has no problem going up against a $500 Xbox One..

being serious though - the Xbox One S is basically on par with the standard PS4 model plus a few added benefits such as 4K upscaling. add that to the fact that the Xbox One X is above the PS4 Pro, and people may just start turning in the other direction.

Err what? All they did was clock up the GPU a bit from 853mhz to 914mhz. It's still an inferior GPU by far.

the main reason people bought the PS4 (taken from surveys and generaldata) was because the AAA multiplatform games played in higher quality. and as Sonystated themselves, the majority of PS4 Pro purchases were from standard PS4 owners upgrading.

The main reason gross internet nerds bought a PS4 was for that reason. Most people just don't care about that shit. Most people will buy a certain console because all their friends have one, or it has exclusives they want, or it's cheaper.
