Those numbers are insane. How many people are waiting for the Switch version? It could reach spectacular numbers there.

yea, the Switch version should imo add another 300k+ fw making this the best fw for DQ and maybe the best selling DQ in Japan, while having much more sales potential in the west than previous games.

that said the Monster Hunter XX port for Switch right now shows very low preorder numbers, which casts a bit of a doubt over this scenario of mine

^ this.

Theres alot of potential in the west for it too, its going to be either the biggest DQ yet, or atleast amoung the best selling.

To be fair, Monster Hunter games have been saturating the japanese market for a while now, while DQ has not. Plus, the hardware bottleneck is specially bad over there, so not many people to preorder.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

With digital PS4 sales could even be higher than 3DS

But they where all stuck in the sand, because of the 3DS hardware.

This new Monster Hunter, will be like a breath of fresh air, for fans of the series.

Also visually... its a big jump, that should sway quite a few alone on that merrit.

New improved gameplay elements + insane visual upgrades = sales.

Not when MH Double Cross has sold more than 1.5m already, specially considered that's an upgrade of a game that sold more than 2m. How many times can you buy the same game, even upgraded?

Monster Hunter X
2015 Action Capcom 0.32 0.26 2.81 0.05 3.45
Monster Hunter Double Cross 2017 Action Capcom 0.00 0.00 1.56 0.00 1.56

Media Create numbers will be interesting. Will it be higher or lower?

considering the very high difference in attach ratio and japan being more towards portable the 50/50 split is quite impressive.

Amazing! More than 93.000 PS4s!!!!!!!!!!!
PS4 @Japan: 1 week (& only 2 DQ11-Days) >>>>>>> Xboxone Lifetime. Wow.

My prediction: More than 4 million Dragon Quest XI units on PS4 worldwide, lifetime :)
PS: The PS4-Version has more details, bigger worlds & beautiful monsters/character-scenes than the 3ds version, say many japanese player. 2018, i'm ready!!

Unfortunatelly there have been too many weeks PS4 sold equivalent to X1 lifetime.

Good thing this series went multiplat, these numbers are surely great, although it wasn't able to top Pokémon Black and White's first week sales in Japan like a few people were wondering.

I'm surprised how close the sales are for the 2 versions. I thought the 3DS would have blown the PS4's away.
