Forums - PC Discussion - Do you think AMD or Nvidia are going to deal with their supply issues anytime soon?

I believe Ethereum is going down so there should be a flood of used gpus soon enough but don't quote me on that. I don't think any of the companies are going to ramp up their GPU production because last time this happened and bitcoined crashed, miners weren't buying GPUs anymore so the companies had excess amounts of GPUs.

So just hold on tight I guess. Heck who knows, if you waited this long, maybe it's just better to wait and see if Nvidia will announce the gaming version of Volta.

Yeah, you might be right, it might be better to hold off and buy a GTX 2060 early next year when Volta hits. With any luck it will hit close to 1070 performance for under $300.

It probably will. The 1060 6GB exceeds the 970, I suppose we are in at least for a performance match...

The question is if sellers are actually trying to buy according to demand. I think they're just fine with the limited quantities they have and blaming the high prices on miners. If I was a seller I certainly wouldn't ask for more stock until I sold off all of my cards.

I mean it's not like there is no supply. The supply that's there is just very expensive.
