Yes, is as simple as sony being involved or not, and both produced and licenced product should be considereded. You are the one that are making it exclusively about productions, I never put that restriction.

Then that statement was stupid to begin with. That would mean by extension that everything Sony has ever touched is shit because of that one movie.

No, I simply said "After that smiley movie, I'll write this under bad news". And it refers to animations as is the common aspect between a company  such as Funnimation and the Smiley movie. Now I obviously ruffle some of your feathers. Well, I accept that it was a bit of an unfair assessment and that Sony's animated history is not all bad, there is some good and thats obvious given that persons with good taste like you like some of their stuff. Though, you did mentioned SA:O and that's conscerning. Regardless Smiley is still the newest and most relevant proyect and a black mark that will stay forever.

So you dont think friendship is important?

The concept was novel when I was 3. .hack//sign aired in 2003.

The show just is not that great.

Is it a coincidence that all the hottest anime chicks have purple hair?

Completely forgot about it! friendship is important, but not when it's the theme of every second anime.

Post the chicks.

Thats ok, most people got into anime with SAO, Attack on Shit and Death Note so I imagine the novelty holds up, I just wanted to appear betterer and smarterest.

Yeah, I think HxH and FMAB did it well, but I really cant stand shows that focus on friendship in the same way shonen anime does. We need more Seinfelds and Sopranos of anime.

Lol im on mobile but look at characters like Faye Valentine, Misato-san, Saeko from Highscool of the Dead or Hitagi from Bakemonogatori. Its not a coincidence , or is it?

The emoji movie has nothing to do with A1 animations or acquiring funimation. The emoji movie movie is made by Sony Pictures Animation. I know youre trying to be funny with the "after that smiley movie i just dont know if i can trust sony animations" but realistically speaking Computer generated theatrical films are much different and Sony should be judged on their filmography for films and not their filmography for anime. Seeing you argue with Vivister is embarrassing.

Don't put much thought into it, you can trace them all back to Tron. And the story in that movie kind of sucked.

Haha, what is wrong with Attack on Titan? Awesome show as well. I think we just don't agree on things. I have been watching anime since 2007-8, so it's not what got me into it.

I am happy to say I didn't need to google any of those characters :D

The distinction between Anime and animations is an American fabrication and doesn't exist in Japan, so yes I'll group them together. I have no shame.

So now you are going to use a fallacy ?

Yes - in Japan the emoji movie and SAO are both "anime" but thats not where im coming from at all. The form of release is different, the budget is different, the demographic is different, the studios are completely different, the form of animation is different.

In America, Frozen and Ed Edd n Eddy are both referred to as cartoons, if they were both published by Disney theyd still have few connections.

Literally the only similarity is Sony which you want to play up for the lolz.

Is He-Man under Funimation?

Attack on Titan is a show I got 8 episodes in, twice, before releasing it was just bad. maybe finishing it would change my perspective but the moment Eren turns into a titan and then Mikasa had that flash back where shes like "Ive been in love with Eren ever since he brutally stabbed people at the age of 9 becoming a psychopath in a minute despite not even knowing me and not even understanding the concept of the sex trade till a minute ago. Oh Eren u r so cool"

I actually havent seen Bakemonogatori, or that many anime. I only know her from...stuff. Even Revy from Black Lagoon is depicted with purple hair sometimes : D

SAO is a good and high quality show that has a massive fanbase. What you or I think about it or parts of it is irrelevant. It is objectively a good anime. "Good" btw is in my defintion between 6-8. Before the second part of the first season and when it was suddenly the cool thing to hate it, it was considered a great anime. And nowadays it's just cool to hate it by people who have no idea about anime.

Connecting Sony's Animation business with Sony's Anime business is clearly a mistake since they have nothing to do with each other. You might as well connect Sony's Playstation and camera business.
