It seems like the X shipments were supposed to last for a week.

To be fair, the x is already on the yearly chart on Amazon UK. I don't think Amazon's as important a company in the UK(at least when it comes to electronics, where I heard it only commands about a 5 percent marketshare), but I wouldn't be surprised at all if the X will top the monthly sales and be up in the yearly already on US Amazon as well. I have to admit, there was more initial demand for the system than I expected, whether that will translate to any sustained momentum remains to be seen.

allmost zero chance of it being on US yearly already

PS4 Pro went straight to #1 and took a couple of weeks being around the top 50 to ge there

Yeah, it showed up at #3 on the monthly and #63 on the yearly. I'm not surprised, Amazon is by far the most popular place to preorder hardware and from what the gamestop employees have been saying in terms of allocations (about 10 to 12 or so per store), it seems there were likely a few hundred thousand allocated to the US in total. It's impossible to tell just how much stock they had, of course, since the items that surround it are either games that have sold decently well and items like the steam link and xbox 360 controller that seem rather obscure. Plus, since most people signed up for email alerts once stock came in, yesterday was basically the buildup of two and a half months of eager pre-orderers finally getting the chance to pull the trigger.

Considering that MS has been hyping this machine for 14 months, the people who want it already damn well know if they want it. The Pro was more of a slow burn to hit the top 50 before it released, this is something Xbox fans have been waiting over a year to order. The impressive thing, though, is just how damn well those PSN cards are able to sell, ha.

One X has already passed the Pro in the yearly ranking. Honestly didnt expect that to happen.

The Pro didn't have any stock for months, plus Amazon is the primary site to preorder hardware. X is doing well, but it's probably not indicative of much just yet.

Yeah, Sony seemed to have issues with the PRO stock throught the year.

Now that soon both Microsoft and Sony will have 2 SKU'S respectively, will people compare Mid Gen vs Mid Gen and OG vs OG, or will it be Xbox One vs PS4?

It will be interesting to see how people aproach this subject!

I expect the X to outsell the pro, at least at first, but the two PS4s to outsell the Xboxes, especially worldwide. Since they're both just the PS4 and Xbox one, though, it would seem a little silly to just focus on one sku.

So looking back at the September 2016 thread. The Pro was at #45 on yearly list when pre-orders went live. Not really relative to this year, but a good indicator of how XB1X is doing.

Yeah, I'm betting that the Scorpio edition will do relatively similar numbers to the pro last November, just going by the apparent stock allocations. The mystery will be what the standard edition of the x will do (I'm betting a good launch number, after that is more difficult to see).

I really wonder how Amazon's hourly rankings work. The XB1X has been unavailable for about 22 hours now due to selling out, yet it's still #1 in the hourly rankings. How does that work? If my memory serves me right this also happened with other consoles and hardware devices, it confuses the fuck out of me.
