Dang, if you felt nothing then they probably gave you a light pain med for good measure.

I got addicted to mine, because the moment they wore off I would feel discomfort or wake up from my sleep. And even at times with max dosage I had pain, luckily not too often. Crazy how addictive they are even when you take them for something legitimate.

Well, I don't remember feeling anything but I'm sure I must have, I was cut so deeply I needed surgery to reattach tendons haha.

And yeah Vicodin and Morphine can be very addictive. Did you manage to get off them?

Of course, I was just 14 or so.  When they ran out, no way I could find anymore outside of robbing the hospital haha. The desire is still there like for anything nostalgic, but I am pretty anti drug and have no money anyways. The feeling is unlike any other minor drug I took though.

Well a lot of people do go that far, or turn to alternatives like heroin. Good on you for getting out.

Yeah I would not recommend even trying it. Especially if one's family has a history of addiction like mine. Read a reddit post of a guy's life spiraling down just from one try...

ATM I try to stay addicted to more healthy things like healthyish food, video games, and going to the gym. So long as they don't go out of control should be fine.

Yeah same here, I recognize that I have an addictive personality and focus it on video games, exercise, etc.

None really as I don't like to lose control over my mind.

I may be getting addicted to energy drinks but I'm not rally sure about that. Damn you Rockstar for creating "Killer Cherry", the only and best cherry soda.

You don't sleep then?

Because most drugs don't control your mind, perhaps some exceedingly powerful psychedelics do, but most don't work that way. On the other hand, sleeping does, you have little to no control over your mind when you sleep.

Anyway, I have experimented with many different sorts of drugs. I don't have an addictive personality, so I don't worry about it.

I drink alcohol and coffee, and probably more than most, but not to any degree of regularity, in that I might drink a lot for 3-4 months, and then drink nothing for anywhere between 1 and 6 months. With coffee, it's similar, I drink a lot over a few days, or even months, but then not drink any for days, weeks, or months.

Anyway, I think all conventional drugs are worth a shot, assuming you are healthy, and have a safe, preferably legal, supplier; many countries have strict nanny-state enforcement, and this isn't always an option, because, you know, those same countries are often the ones that allow accumulation of deadly weapons and ammunition, but getting high... out of the question!

In my opinion, the only ones I didn't find particularly good were opiates, very overrated in my opinion; I think the coolest part about them is listening to stuff, even minor sound effects become pleasurable, but you can get more cool audio experiences with weed.

For creativity, anything in moderation improves this, including caffeine and alcohol. Although having anything in excess goes in the opposite direction. Most conventional drugs in small doses have a positive effect on creativity and productivity.

Why do you think I drink so much energy drinks? :P Sleeping is a self produced drug by your body and you will literally die when you don't do it, as is oxygen. Since everyone is doing those I believe it's fine.

Also, aren't you forgetting this little drug called alcohol? You know, the one where you lose control over your mind and body when you had too much? You already start to lose control when you only had a little bit.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Hmm, various forms of cannabis, xtc, speed, cocaine, caffeine pills, mushrooms, various types of alcohol. Fun times.

Did you live in Amsterdam?

Yes for 10 years, I moved their when I went to the university. Experimenting with drugs started after that when I had my first job.

Honestly, my trippiest experiences have not been from taking drugs per se but from coming off them.

Withdrawal from stuff like Sertraline, Risperadone, and Clonazepam can feel pretty weird; light-headedness, altered perception of time, heightened anxiety, upset stomach, mood swings, etc.
