You build a base and fight hordes of zombies. You also need to mine for materials to build up your base. I think you can also play with up to 4 people.

Oops, Im dumb

After researching this game, it looks fun. But I don't think it's worth 40$

No, it did not sell 500k in 1 day. Even the tweet says so.

I hope early access doesnt become the norm, with PUBG and now this getting popular its quite rediculous

500K from pre orders which are day 1 sales. So the game sold over 500k day 1.

For some reason I read "Fortnite" as "Furniture" lol

You mean like how AAA games have been tossing out more ways to take more money from your wallets?. I honestly find the up and coming devs to be far less of a threat than the clear and rpesent AAA companies that are absolutely minted and yet they still want more money from you from a single "AAA "title (hardly much polish going into those type of games these days anyway).

PuB is blowing up ebcause no one out there has managed to craft a really good BR style game in years. THe AAA industry lieks to play it's own ball game, rather than actually thinking of what games people actually want to play, you know the whole risk reward stance they should be taking, but instead they keep going with playing it safe. Then they wait until a dev comes around to make a game like PuB, then they will reap the rewards from that dev via buying them out, buying the IP, pubbing for them or simply copying their idea 50 times over until it's saturated to fuck.

Yeah I find early access titles as a bit of a put off, but at the end of the day, they can strike gold and really hit a home run, while the AAA space sits back and uses the same concepts until an early access title hits that gold mine, then the saturation begins. I'd rather the AAA devs come up with their own totally 100% unique ideas rather than trying to make yet another Dark Souls game or another CoD. Indie devs end up doing the same, but some do it as a stepping stone towards making something bigger and better, AAA devs should absolutely not be repeating the same process over and over again, yet they always end up going down that road until some indie dev shows them something new and unique.

Step right up come on in, feel the buzz in your veins, I'm like an chemical electrical right into your brain and I'm the one who killed the Radio, soon you'll all see

So pay up motherfuckers you belong to "V"

Well then, selling 500k by day 1 of release is not the same as selling 500k in 1 day.

Isn't this free to play?

No it goes free to play next year. Right now its $40.

Wait, so they are charging now AND letting people know it's going free to play next year? That is some next gen tactics, right there. Does the priced copy come with a handjob?

Watched some gameplay footage. Wow, that looks really not fun at all. I guess it's fine if you like building stuff and such but the combat looks very weak.
