It seems our definitions of "real" differ substantially.

They would need exclusives that are more popular than Sony's and Nintendo's IPs combined. Good luck with that.

Also, stop telling console makers to create exclusives. That's terrible!

Yeah i think its called Halo..

Willingness to overpay means ppl have disposable income that MS could have a lot of. Money is what connects the 2 situations. Unless only Nintendo fans have disposable income, of course.

Yes, but that depends on the customer. People are not going to come out like they are for the Switch for a $500 at console mid gen. Nintendo is offering something novel and creative that is scarce. This is something Microsoft would probably doesnt have the creativity to accomplish. The Switches first year titles are also of an extremely high quality compared to their competition and highly sought after. Microsoft has never created a new IP themselves that was highly sought after. Seriously.....like ever.

Forza?

The thing is with just zelda and splatoon the switch already has better exclusives than the one..... so of course it's trailing silly

Not everybody wants kidish games though. I'm not putting anyone down that likes kid style games though. I like me some Sonic, Transformers, Ninja Turtles and Wonder Boy. I did even play through A Link to the Past.

Halo isn't more popular than Nintendo's IPs and Halo is a series that is a decade past  when it was king of hype. It's popularity is dwindling.

Hmmmmmm Halo is bigger than most Nintendo IPs aside from the Mario and Pokemon games.

How do you expect people to take your topics seriously when you post nonsense then try and dispute and reply to literally every single solitary post? How in the world does it generate discussion if you intervene and prevent it?

I'm not preventing it. I just feel strongly about my ideas being good ones. I am open to being wrong, like the poster that corrected me the second time about the Switch teraflop situation. I stood corrected. As for replying to every comment, I don't reply as much as I think I should in most of my posts. I work hard and often am too tired to reply a lot, however, I feel it is a bit disappointing to some ppl when they feel their replies go unnoticed. I'm trying to reply more often out of respect.

Stop with the kiddy shit. It's old and false. Calling Nintendo games kiddy is well I can't say because I will get banned but it starts with letter that looks like a plus sign.

The only way I can think of for it to be a big success would be for Microsoft to buy both Sony and Nintendo and cease PS4/Switch production entirely. Also stop producing/selling standard Xbox Ones and slims, so that it really did have no competition whatsoever.

So yeah, the only way I can see it being successful would be if it were literally the only console on the market...

Um... I didn't say dominate, I said a success.
