I honestly don't think if they released DQ on the Switch that it would've sold as much, that's how good I think the Splatoon numbers are

Lol yep. Good for Switch owners too

Wonder what the digital attach rate is, I'm more inclined to download games on Switch than buy physical because can't be bothered carrying games around!

The game is only a bit over 3GB so imagine quite high.

Splatoon 2 sold around 700k on instal base of 1.2m in first 3 days of game being on market (thats attach rate of around %55-60), hardly any game could achieve those number.

Around what I expected. I'm finally getting good at this whole prediction thing

Also, guys, first week sales are first week sales. Most games sell like 80% of their first week numbers on day 1. And most games release on the same days of the week.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

It's not about how frontloaded sales are, but how Splatoon can carry out the Nintendo Switch until Mario Odyssey. The first game gave life to Wii U is Japan for a couple of months for sure.

Splatoon 2 dont need to cary Switch sales because demand for Switch is still huge regardless Splatoon, Switch is still supply constrained.

Splatoon did increase demand considerably, though. If we look at amazon reslae as a supply-demand curve, we can observe that the resale price increased by 150$ approaching launch.

Bet with PeH:

I win if Arms sells over 700 000 units worldwide by the end of 2017.

Bet with WagnerPaiva:

I win if Emmanuel Macron wins the french presidential election May 7th 2017.

But again, fact is that Nintendo couldn't meat demand even before Splatoon 2 launch, with Splatoon 2 demand is even more stronger.

The game keeps interest high. As time passes and Switches are too difficult to acquire, people will give up. This reminds them why they wanted it in the first place.

Wow, that's nuts.
