Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Microsoft needs better pr for crackdown

I saw those clips the other day. Wasn't smart to have people who have no idea how to play the game, or games in general, show the game off. There is already enough bad PR surrounding the game, this doesn't help. It's time for them to show off the multiplayer.

Those complaining about the graphics need to realize this game has never been about that. It's not why people enjoy playing Crackdown and never will be. Do you think people play Minecraft because it looks pretty? It's all about the gameplay and playing with friends. This is the same for Crackdown.

Like PR could actually save this game. This game as flop written all over it.

Microsoft need to acquire a lot more second party studios, not every game turn out to be a hit.

They could also invest in promising indie game and finance development to ensure exclusivity.

Still looks better than Scalebound...
But MS really needs better PR for the game, and I hope the gameplay is great at launch because the gameplay and MP will be the only things to save Crackdown 3.

Jason.

You got something against Platinum Games ?

This thread has nothing to do with Scaleboud .

Nah I like Platnuim, I was just taking a stab at scalebounds frame rate.

I just don't get why streets, buildings, cars and like everything seems to have a green touch.

Scalebound had an interesting concept, looked really fun and fresh in gameplay videos and came from a proven studio, yet people were relieved when the game got canned.

Crackdown 3 looks AWFUL from what they have showed, and people are still shitting on Scalebound to somehow feel better about this game.

The world we live in.

I would have prefered this game to be canned and let the Scalebound project live 10 out of 10 times.

The Pr video isn't great, the gameplay stuff is better, but to me the game just looks empty and quite boring. Sounds like a game with very little depth, and though I like the thought of old school games, I just think they haven't pushed the boundaries at all with this game, and it will suffer because of it.

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

Scalebound did look fun dont get me wrong but it by no means was fresh gameplay wise. The only thing fresh was the dragons. The MP looked like a mess and the game could barely run at 30fps. It was a mess while crackdown 3 looks really fun. Ive heard its more like crackdown 1 than 2 and crackdown 1 was a great game.

Frame Rate drops are easier to fix than faulty A.I. and broken physics, specially on a short amount of time.

We have to take into consideration that Crackdown 3 is releasing soon, unless they delay again the game.

I agree that Crackdown 3 gameplay videos have been really fun, but not for the intended purposes

At the end of the day, lets wait how the media and people receive the game. I hope it turns out good.

Opinions. Imho Scalebound looked like ass and thankfully was put out of our misery.

Crackdown looks okay in terms of visuals but the gameplay saves it. Scalebound had a shitty style, graphical issues, and the gameplay looked stupid as hell.

LMAO you said it yourself, Opinions.

Crackdown 3 (IMO) is graphically underwhelming, bland artstyle, generic main character, floaty gameplay which leads to my main issue with the game, poor physics, and last but not least shitty A.I.

The lack of story doesnt help either, and the misterious Cloud that have not showed yet also concerns me.

Scalebound was meant to be the most visually distinct exclusive compared with the rest of their exclusives. The freshest game in a sea of Gears, Forzas and Halos.

Celebrating the game cancellation is as absurd as a Playstation users thanking Sony for skipping the EA service on the PS4.

More is better than less. Remember that.
