They haven't shown anything yet, that's the problem...instead of that fake The Cloud hype up trailer 3 years ago. If they delay the MP this game and MS are even more dead than they are already.

Reading your last statement makes me not to take you serious.

Of course I was exaggerating a bit...It's true though....if the multiplayer won't feature big scale destruction powered by the Cloud Microsoft's credibility, which is already at an all time low, will suffer even more. After cancelling Scalebound and not delivering any worthwhile exclusives for 3/4 of a year and none to come in the near future lots of people are questioning Microsoft's stance in the game industry atm. The momentary horrific sales reflect that.

lol, how were they "very deceitful" about cloud functionality? They said from day one that it's for the MP mode and is not tied to the SP. Which is still the case. It is strange that they haven't shown it yet though. The game was supposed to release in two waves, MP first and then SP. It would be funny if it switched and the SP came out in November and they delayed the MP.

The entire cloud agenda as it pertains to the XBO as a whole, and the benefits it would bring to the table were grossly, grossly overstated, to the point that "very deceitful" is an apt descriptor. If I remember, there were at least a few instances of hyperbole. There's a reason it went from being spammed in PR a few years ago, and today, ends up not being talked about at all. A practical application in the future? Sure. But when they were bandying it about?  No. You're not gonna make me go fishing are you? It's too hot today.

All of that is cool and all but it has nothing to do with Crackdown 3 :)

Are you in denial?! Of course it has.. Crackdown 3 was THE posterchild they chose to use for deceitfully marketing the 'hidden' capabilities of XBox One.

You seem to be detaching more and more from reality with each reply.

I guess that's what one has to answer if one is out of arguments. But what should I expect looking at your signature...

Just stop. He's entirely dismissive. Lets see at gamescom if we have nothing to worry about. It's all on Microsoft now.

It has something to do with Crackdown 3, as that was the main tangible example MS presented as to it's viability. Among all the other insane promises. And what was the original CD3 target release date? We have to be a year past it. Beyond that, and focussing  on the coolness, it's another example of MS pumping shit into the drinking water. Not everybody checks for it, but even those that don't check beforehand can still say for the most part afterwards: That water tastes like shit.

Only the first sentence there is relevant.

They said it applied only to MP from day one, and showcased it in use in a MP demo later on. It's still coming, still MP only. How very deceitful of them regarding its functionality /s

If the user who said that had meant cloud functionality as a whole for Xbone, your ranting might be more on point, but his wording made it clear he was referring to Crackdown. There has been no deceit there, not yet anyway. Hope that helps :)

I'm clearly talking about the broad spectrum of PR bullshit MS put forth regarding the cloud, as well as the CD3 specific elements. What exactly do you think you've helped me with by regurgitaing what you've already posted, and ignoring the larger issue which I addressed in my comment?

Again where did I said they were untrue on the game capability? Keep going and you may find something I really said or ment.

Yes it's a concious decision, and should be praised because? It doesn't look good, period. Not that it doesn't look photorealistic. It doesn't look good or graphically impressive or ambitious. And that is an AAA exclusive that they are putting as a showcase of X1X capabilities (and it is bad for them to use this as an example, same on putting how much better Minecraft 4k will look or putting low end indies as 4KHDR).

You just don't need to mention something if it won't do you any favor. Keep the 4KHDR ubber graphic tag for Forza, Metro, AC and others that could really be an eyecandy and on Crackdown talk about what it does good instead of pushing it as a good graphic showcase that it isn't and damage their own show.

I still don't understand why you care so much how MS touts their own game or if it looks uber realistic or not? Who cares if MS pushes this game as one of their main "Xbox X Enhanced" titles this Fall? Would you rather this game fail because they didn't support it? It is a AAA game, so MS has to support it as much as Forza. I'm sure the amount of money put into the multiplayer justifies this.

I would say, due to the fully destructable environments in the multiplayer, having the game run at 4kHDR at a steady framerate is quite impressive.
