This is not real, I cant believe it if its true, but nintendo cant sue, they dont have a patent for motion controls.

The PS3 has motion controls, and they didnt sue sony.

Sony's patent for motion controls are different from Nintendo's.

Nintendo still doomed?
Feel free to add me on 3DS or Switch! (PM me if you do ^-^)
Nintendo ID: Mako91                  3DS code: 4167-4543-6089

It's a mock-up guys.

Announcements like this always come with a mock-up that looks exactly whatever is supposedly being copied, and everybody always goes, "OMG, is that real!?!"

This is obviously fake. Microsoft wouldn't be as stupid to do this... people would immediately recognize it as a rip-off, and the inevitable suing of Microsoft by Nintendo would occur.

There is no way this is real.

I don't Nintendo would have a case if it tried to sue but that X-remote would never go anywhere, anyway.  It would be painful to hold with 2 hands because of button placement so it would be somewhat limited in use and the hardcore wouldn't use it, anyway.

"Loose Talk:

Sony developing a Wiimote like device internally being called the Waggle. Likely to be packed in with a game. Full functionality not known at this time, but it will contain motion sensing. Sony's Waggle will not require a sensor bar or be based on IR."

uhh....

If MS does release a Wiimote-esque, it won't help anything. They'll alienate their existing user base, and by and large fail to appeal to the crowd that would want that sort of controller. The worst thing you can do in response to a disruption is attempt to copy it after the fact.

why? If Nintendo's legal department cannot stop them from creating a perfect copy. They would essentially have a powerful HD console with great media and online capabilities and the best gaming library AND Wii games could be ported within weeks(probably in higher resolution). All of this for almost the same price as the Wii.

So they would have the superiour product. A lot of people calling them copycats wouldn't change that. Of course there are two big ifs in all of this.

1) Will they be able to create competitive technology, I am sure making it work right did some work.
2) Nintendo's lawyers must be drinking some blood to get them ready for the fight right now if this was true.

Screw Microsoft, I hope Ninty sue them to hell

Edit: oh, and has anybody mentioned that Microsoft, not Nintendo, pioneered motion-sensing controllers? The Sidewinder, anyone?

Wear gaudy colours or avoid display. It's all the same.

Be warned, I will use walls of polysyllables and complex clauses as a defence against lucid argument.

Wand to read a creepy thread?

Other than that... If MS does this... I feel ashamed. They should at least wait for another gen before doing it.... IF IT'S TRUE!?

Otherwise the kid says it all....
