2 > 3 > 1

It's a long time since I played the first one on original Xbox so I don't remember much of it. Never played the anniversary edition. I do remember thinking Fable 2 was alot better and it's not that long ago I played it for second time. I also enjoyed the 3rd one very much and don't really get the hate.

Only played and own the first. Pretty mediocre game. Ok game to fart on people I guess.

Th first 1 was graet but i hope the y will reboot Black and white

I only played the first one, so......none.

After finishing Gothic 2 I went to Fable 1. Nothing you do in this game matters.

Choosing the good side or the bad side? Outcome is still the same. Marrying the wrench or not doesn't matter. Killing your sister or not, doesn't matter.

There are no changes to the game's story whatever you do.

For combat you take the skill where you move behind your opponent and swing your weapon. That's the only move you need to finish the game.

I found that going back to the first Fable, the engine is very outdated and the game mechanics feel very clunky.

They did remaster the first Fable in Unreal Engine 3. - It actually does bring it up a notch in terms of visuals and makes it less of an eyesore to play.
But considering what console generation the first fable is coming from, IMHO it has aged better than most games of that era.

I actually found this to be very much the same playing Fable Anniversary. The graphics were better for the scenary, however, the facial animations on certain characters were a thing of nightmares. The game was still very clunky and stiff. The menus were actually worse than the original Fable. The remake/remaster was actually a step back in some ways.

Been years since I played either. I seem to recall the first and second have a very similar story. The first one disappointed me because I was hyped to play a epic RPG which it wasn't . I tempered my expectations of fable 2 and ended up enjoying it more.
