I occasionally look for video topics on youtube trying to find new subscribe channesl, and whenever I look at commentary on console exclusive pros and cons and rants and the like, I've noticed that 90% of the time it's a constant commentary of Halo vs Uncharted.

Any reason why Nintendo isn't brought up, given that when it comes to commentary on exclusives Nintendo is a good example of both 'they sell games' and 'they aren't avaliable to everyone and are gated off' arguments? Is it just to avoid Nintendo copyright claims, or do they just not get brought up for another reason?

Just copyright. You can't make dem sweet YouTube moneyz with Nintendo stuff and nowadays it's all about money on YouTube.

Most of the videos are talking heads though: I am no expert but I don't think just saying Nintendo activates the strike. It's from showing gameplay or trailers. 

Well, I dunno. but why the hell are people watching videos with talking heads anyway? That's about as boring as it gets.

They don't want to promote Switch at all, so they ignore it.

Cause most people don't care about Nintendo. Nintendo fanbase is mostly separate from the rest of gaming community.

Because the demographic is different and the shared library between Xone and PS4 is far greater than PS4 and Wii U and Switch combined and multiplied by twenty. But there is plenty of mud throwing when you compare Nintendo and Sony exclusives most recently Zelda vs Horizon. There is also enough mud throwing between the elite superior master race and the lowly filthy console peasants which holds gaming back. Even though it keeps the whole thing profitable but that's a discussion for another day.

The Nintendo fan base doesn't have online capabilities, so the videos would be a wasted effort.

Nintendo's copyright policy makes it hard for anyone to talk about their products on youtube videos and I sure as hell dont intend to join their "program".
