sad day.
And we have a thread talking about MS doing BW efforts on X1, and then they cut Paint, besides DOS support being cut in each new version of Windows.

Paint will still be there assumedly, but it's possible it will be removed later. Development will cease completely though. It'll basically be abandonware, but perfectly usable on all versions of Windows (untill 10 gets it removed that is).

Don't know if you can do that with Paint 3D because I haven't used it much, but you can do that in the default photo viewer on W10 already.

That's good to know. Still using Win 8.1 though with its criminally stripped photoviewer.
Just trying to keep up with what Win 10 has/doesn't have.
well it is disappointing that they gone backwards with it.
they should keep the exiting features and add to it not replace it with others
All of my Sigs were done in MS paint. I actually used to like it a lot for pixel art... Sad to see it die.
Paint 3D has a lot more tools and feels more modern, but MS Paint has a much better and easier to use UI. hopefully they can just refine the two into one program with the best of both, and I'll be fine with it

Point is. Paint 3D should already have all the Paint functionality BEFORE they start deprecating Paint. It's a "break now, fix later" kind of attitude.
