Forums - General Discussion - Your biggest pet peeves about gamer logic...

People who claim they hate FF8 because of the grindy draw system. FF8 gives multiple ways of getting magic: the easiest is killing enemies and crafting their item drops - all enemies drop items, and you can get better magic faster by killing and crafting than you can by constant drawing. When you tell them this, they tend not to change their opinions, and insist that they should be able to like drawing magic.

Getting magic was super easy in FF8. IDK why the draw is grindy. Sure technically it is, but you pull draws of like 7-8 at a time. You find some enemy with a great spell and you grind him in like 5 minutes in one battle. Your done. Easiest GRIND ever.

Now if you wanna talk how you never use your magic cause you don't want to lower your stats, that is a good complaint. Whats the good of having the Ultima spell if you never use it cause you want to keep your 99 Ultima on so and so's stat. That annoyed me. So many possible battle options i never did because I didn't want to lose the 1 magic or something. If only they had some "caravan" or bag or something to hold an excess of each thing. So then you could keep 99 on a character and have say 43 in your bag to use in battle.

According to OP you are a terrible person.

Haha, nice.

There is a big difference between passing on a clear train wreck like Final Fantasy XIII after an hour or so and giving up on Bloodborne because, "if you have to create a character, then it must be like Skyrim and therefore suck" or "the tutorial is weird...I don't wanna play this game because I have to shoot at ballons" lol.

Though to be fair, Final Fantasy XIII was basically just the tutorial for Final Fantasy XIII-2...sooooo.....

OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!

I don't even have to play a single second of Bloodborne to know that it sucks. 30 fps is a bitch.

I mean why would I have to give the game a fair chance if it doesn't even give me a fair chance.

Bloodborne isn't 30 fps.

It isn't 60 FPS, or higher.

OMG this is why you have to play the game before makung judgements!  If you had actually played the game and learned the lore, you would know that because you are infected with the Beast Blood, you hallucinate when your characters adrenaline goes up and action gets tense!  It is a side effect meant to work against you and add even greater challenge!

This creates the illusion of a 30 fps game when in reality it is running at 4K 120FPS on a standard PS4!  How dare you make false accusations about a game that you have not even played!  This is exactly the kind of crap I am talkinh about!

Anything that has to do with petty and angry knee jerk reactions towards video games for whatever reason.

Whenever fans of a series try to hold minuscule complaints against one game in comparison to the rest of the series to such a laughably high pedestal that the BS they throw at the game starts turning their eyes brown.

I guess people who give games either the lowest score possible or the highest score possible. I've never seen a game that was deserving of either a 1/10 or a 10/10 personally, because to me those numbers represent pure garbage and perfection, and no game is entirely garbage or perfect in my opinion.

I see nothign wrong with 10's. I think of it as like you found a game that was amazing a 9/10, near perfect yet somehow it resonated with you even more that you look past the flaws or even some of the flaws are perfect in their own way. Like how your wife/child in your eyes is most likely more attractive than what other people see.

As for the 1's and 0's out of 10. Those are BS. Now I'm not saying what I listed above can't happen opposite. You know pure hatred, something happening that makes one want to kill someone, ect. But we are talking about a video game here. If something is getting even remotely to that bad of territory, put the game down. Quit playing it. You should never be forced to play some game that is depressing you enough to give it a 0 or 1. You should have put the game down long before you reached that low.

People that get hyped over a game with a bad or no pedigree.

Games like Destiny 2, For Honor, Toukiden, Nioh, and Star Wars Battlefront 2 are not worth getting excited over. Yes Nioh was actually good, but it had every sign of being a bad game. It was in development hell, and team Ninja hadn't made a good game since Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

My biggest pet peeve is the fanboy/girl thing. It's a fucking piece of plastic people... A PIECE OF PLASTIC! Not only that, but it's all just manipulation invented by Sega back in the early 90's. They're the ones who invited plastic worship in console gaming. Sure, it was ok when we were 12, but come on.

The best one recently:
"The number of games available for this console is way inferior than the one that I have.
People must be forced to get games that they do not want to justify their system purchase."
