Forums - General Discussion - Your biggest pet peeves about gamer logic...

Rather than irritaiting I think it's demoralizing people gives too much credit to review scores (in general) and - even worse - to metacritic scores.

According to OP you are a terrible person.

So be it. I play alot of RPGs and I played alot of the final fantasy games so I wasn't being unfair to the game. It's infamously linear, you can't do most of the normal things you can do in most RPGs and the game trilogy strays from Final Fantasy games in general.

If I did this with a mario game, the op's opinion would apply to me because I don't like those kind of games in general.

You don't like Mario? Not even the 3D entries such as Galaxy and Sunshine? You monster!

My biggest pet peeve is when things don't move forward or keep up with whats best.

Recently got Shadow of War on One S for like $4.00 and started playing. I so many times just want to quit and/or refuse to start playing when I think about how crappy aiming is. I'm so used to being able to use the motion to slightly adjust the reticle the little centi/millimeters to get that perfect head shot in the smallest/slightest adjustment that takes a fraction of a second. It's so soo bad aiming with sticks only. All games that aim should use sticks plus motion. Anything less that that is just handicapping the player. It feels like going back and playing Goldeneye on the 64 or something.

Recently... leavers in Overwatch competitive games. Man the fuck up and stay until the end instead of ruining the game for 11 other players!!!

Signature goes here!

People that use the term Walking Simulator in a demeaning manor.

I don't think people actually give that much credit to review scores. They're something used for online list wars, but I think we've seen a fair few times now that they don't really have all that much impact on sales figures.

Of course Metacritic scores matters to sales otherwise you wouldn't see it written on covers and developers wouldn't get bonuses for high scores.

I do find it weird when people choose not to play a game when it lacks achievements, discredit games because they're indie, and call a game childish because it uses cartoony visuals.

Are you talking about Kapi in particular?

<w< it can apply to anyone who shares that opinion...

You're right. Scores shouldn't be important.

Easy one: people who buy expensive (in the case of my country, VERY expensive) consoles to play only Fifa and/or PES, ignoring all the amazing experiences that the console may provide with tons of games in different genres.

And, of course, extremely biased and nonsense reviews

I traded in FFXIII after an hour because it was a shit game. *shrugs

According to OP you are a terrible person.

Haha, nice.

There is a big difference between passing on a clear train wreck like Final Fantasy XIII after an hour or so and giving up on Bloodborne because, "if you have to create a character, then it must be like Skyrim and therefore suck" or "the tutorial is weird...I don't wanna play this game because I have to shoot at ballons" lol.

Though to be fair, Final Fantasy XIII was basically just the tutorial for Final Fantasy XIII-2...sooooo.....

OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!
