Forums - Gaming Discussion - SFV has the slowest matchmaking in any game I've ever played.

So underwhelmed by SFV. I let my PS+ subscription lapse. Capcom got my money but, after decades of playing Street Fighter, I'm done with the series.

A copy of the game, a one year subscription, and a controller purchased specifically for one game--only to be plagued by lack of content, micro transactions, and technical incompetence. Congratulations, Capcom. I throw money away on evening but you managed to break me.

I actually really enjoy the game. They obviously made Fight Money impossibly slow on purpose to sell their overpriced characters and stages but the actual game itself I really enjoy. My only major complaint is how slow the matchmaking is.

There's only 2 races: White and 'Political Agenda'
2 Genders: Male and 'Political Agenda'
2 Hairstyles for female characters: Long and 'Political Agenda'
2 Sexualities: Straight and 'Political Agenda'

TLOU PS4. Slowest matchmaking I've ever played.

PC GAMING: BEST GAMES. WORST CONTROLS

A mouse & keyboard are made for sending email and typing internet badassery. Not for playing video games!!!

Yeah, Street Fighter V is shit. One of the most disappointing games of all time. Unfortunately, it looks like MvC: Infinite is going down a similar path. At least in SFV Chun-Li looks great, they can't even get that right in MvC.

I honestly feel Street Fighter 5 is Capcom's finest work when it comes to fighters (Not necessarily as a packaged game).  As far as match making goes?  I just go into survival and let the matchmaking run in the background.  Depends how things go, I can get a challenge once every few rounds.  If you just click on finding a match it'll take a while.  I also started just going into random lobbies.  You don't get fight money or experience to level up, but meh.  Easiest way to get consistent fights right away.

Can you change characters between rounds now, at least?

worst thing is can't even invite friends...

You can't change characters between rounds in any fighting game...

Can you imagine?  "Oh no, I lost this round!  Before I lose the match I'm going to switch my character."  It doesn't work like that Lewis!

Now as far as changing character between matches, It's always been there.  People are just to retarded to turn it on for Battle Lounge.  You can't switch for Casual or Ranked, but it's not like you could in SF 4 either (You could select a character before you match though).  And Casual and Ranked is now first to two which is better.

WTF are you talking about?  Make a battle lounge, invite friend from your Capcom fight network.  You have to add your friend to Capcom FIght Network since it's a multiplatform server.  It wouldn't work otherwise.  You can search for PSN ID...

That's what I meant. Between matches.

Yeah, in Battle Lounge it's there, its always been there.  It was never in casual or ranked matches, but it wasn't in SF 4 either.  If you want to change your character before a casual or ranked match, just change your favourite character while your waiting for someone to challenge you.  That's also essentially how you'd do it in SF 4...
