In 2018, mid term elections, the Republicans will lose control of the House and/or the Senate.
Trump will become a lame duck President and effectively win a second term by default. The popularity of Republicans is on the decline and their inability to work together will turn voters against them in the 2018 mid term elections.

I don't necessarily know about the House, but for sure the Senate.

Still wont be 66 votes to impeach him.

Reality is the country is so divided I dont see either party getting enough support to just push through stuff through congress.

Imo the US System does not work well at all.

Didnt it take like 2 years to pass obamacare on its own with democratic majorities?

Aha. When Dems were in control they passed a republican healthcare plan instead of the plan their base wanted. To sum it up, one party is marginally more inefficient tha the other. Hurray?

Republicans now control Congress, the Presidency, and the Supreme Court. Still can't pass any new legislation. If the democrats had this level of support they'd be well on their way to bulldozing the opposition with the Nuclear Option, several new Supreme Court cases, and presidential overreach. The Nuclear Option would allow them to bring an end to the filibuster. New Supreme Court cases would let them overturn things like Citizens United, and stop voter I.D. laws. Presidential overreach would be fairly easy since nobody is going to take you to court when the court is in your favor. Just run about as president making multiple shady executive orders until the cows come home (Trump has already done this).

Just real quick: the reason we have Trump is because the DNC told us we wanted Hillary and not Bernie.

The way they did it was DNC voter registration.

They're not against voter registration, they're tactically for it in places where it benefits then.

The Filibuster prevents any partisan bills from ever getting passed. The Dems know this and compromised. The republicans are too much like children to do this even within their own party. But yeah, the ACA was a republican health care plan. Force everybody to buy insurance orpay a fine. Might as well have handed the insurance companies a golden egg laying chicken.

They only have 2 non-safe seats during that mid-term (even if they lose BOTH of these, they still have 50 seats + Mike Pence). The democrats could lose as many as 10 seats, so the odds are far and beyond. They may lose the house, but I think avoiding health care is actually helping (ACA decimated the Democrat majority in the house back in 2010). If there is one thing I have to say, universal health care is the best option - it is cheaper than private health care for the country, and it provides coverage for everyone (even if it could be better). It is probably the only socialist principle I agree with, but it does work.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

On topic: good, things are going how I planned. Trump is so universally hated that no one wants to agree with him or anyone that supports him, causing a complete standstill in Congress. May get about ten things passed in total from Trump before 2020 arrives and we rid preserves of him and elect our Lord and Savior Bernie Mother Fucking Sanders.

You know democrats controlled the congresses and the house from 2006-2010, and the presidency from 2008-2016. Even Obama barely passed the ACA with 57 seats in the Senate, and a large house majority as well. But yeah, just proves Washington is a inefficent mess.

Many states (surprise, like Hillary's New York) required people to be registered Democratic voters in order to vote for the Democratic seat. Unfortunately, most Bernie supporters we're third party, had never voted before, or were Republican voters tired of the horseshit. This meant that NONE of this majority of Bernie voters were actually allowed to vote for the Democratic seat.

I understand the reasoning for requiring a registration, so I'm not dogging on that. But if they aren't going to include a legitimate third seat in debates that can be chosen by those unregistered with the DNC or Republicans, then they shouldn't be allowed to require registration. That all said, there were a number of Bernie protests at Hillary rallies, but the ever-controlled media didn't really pay too much attention to it.
