Xenoblade Chronicles is damn good tho. Love the series. Not my favorite. First game is insanely good tho. I never say this about Wii games but it's a shame it was limited to Wii's limited hardware. At least Xenoblade 2 looks closer to what the first should have.

It's easier to make something better than it is to make something entirely new without any blue prints. Those two games changed the world.

Me personally...hmm. Xenoblade Chronicles is an exceptionally well made game. Breath of the Wild as well. But best game ever crafted - not necessarily my favorite - is probably, in my opinion, Chrono Trigger.

The design is just incredibly tight, the writing is absolutely on point, the time travel elements weave an engaging narrative AND impact the gameplay, the art is phenomenal,it's just such a fantastic creation.

And just fyi, I played Chrono Trigger for the first time in 2012, not long before I dove into Xenoblade. So this isn't a nostalgia thing.

Like I said, probably not my *favorite* game. Just the one I feel has the most excellent design.
