Forums - Movies & TV - I really wanna see Valerian and the city of a thousand planets but critics have ruined it for me

Why do you obsess over critics so much? Literally every website has critics and fan reviews. Rotten tomatoes, metacritic, etc.

More like saved you money

I dont even watch previews for this reason. I hate knowing anything. I saw the spiderman preview and felt like I saw the whole movie.

I like going in fresh and clueless. So I wont watch spiderman.

Never heard of either. Why give a shit what others say anway? That's letting other people choose for you. Make up your own mind. I know what I like and want. I never pay any attention to reviews on anything nor care what they say. It's dumb to let others decide for you.

I liked Fifth Element despite its quirks so I plan on seeing it sometime. This Summer is packed so I am behind on movies already.

This movie looked like an overly generic sci-fi flick based on the trailer. Reviews say that it is exactly that. But if you want to go see, it then do it. It's not like you're going to lose much. Just an hour of your time, and seven bucks. With video games you can be out $60 and days of your time.

It's a Luc Besson movie, if you like his style, there will be something for you. I enjoyed Lucy as well despite the bad reviews. It's a must buy for me on blu-ray. Dunkirk, no thanks.

Where are you seeing movies for $7?  It's $14-$15 for a primetime show here, and $10-$11 for a matinee.   Add $3-$4 for 3D or IMAX.

Dunkirk is overrated, I can tell you that. Watched it last night, give it a 7.5/10 at best, not higher like the rating Nolan's fanboys give for it

And again, I definitely go to movie theater and watch Valerian in 3D for the visual cause it's worth it

Harkin's Matinee or Fridley theater's matinee.
