Forums - Gaming Discussion - Are you thr type of person who has to beat bosses that are optional to play/beat?

I'll fight any optional boss if I think it's guarding a goodie or shortcut which means I'm pretty much killing everything if it looks at me wrong. haha

Kingdom Hearts taught me not to care about killing optional bosses lol

Tell me about it.They are freaking impossible.Though I have to say that I have beaten every single optional boss in KH BBS(Maybe outside of the arena boss, but I dont remember if that boss was limited to the Final Mix verson). The misterious Figure was the hardest boss I have ever beaten. You literaly couldnt make one single mistake. In his battle, you had to meet certain conditions(as in skills).Once thats done, you could only be hit twice, and it was merciless.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

And I bet that wasn't in Critical Mode :p

I swear the Kingdom Hearts series is one of the most difficult game franchise out there. Souls who.

Oh it was.Outside of the first KH, every single other entry I play on the highest difficulty.

Mysterious Figure was no different.I did beat him once in Critical Mode, but it took me more than 2 weeks of trying and strategies lol

But BBS was the only one that I 100%ed it from all KH

Nope. If I don't have to then in most cases I don't attempt it.

It depends on how much I like the game. If its an awesome game, then I'll usually complete most or all of the optional content. If the game is mediocre, I'll skip some, or all of the optional stuff.

Pretty much!

Nope. Being a child of the 80's, my goal is to beat the game as quickly and efficiently as possible. No cheating, no easy mode... but point A to point B until it's beaten.

If I really love the game, I'll go back to do the rest afterwards.

If it gives me a good reward (XP, loot, achievement) then yes, otherwise skip.

Almost always! All the bosses, if there are in the game, total exploration, all the interesting loot, In Morrowind, for example, I'm member of every joinable guild, and my stronghold plus some rooms of the Temples, imperial forts and guilds, particularly of Mages and Fighters are full of my loot (I keep less stuff in Thieves guild and Morag Tong rooms, as they usually are less close to means of transport and/or offer less services, and often more difficult to reach too).
