It were some kind of Goldeneye Wii? I know motion  controls can be used, but I couldn't find an answer to that particular question anywhere. If not, I may just stick to Arms.   :P

Yes if you mean:
Left hand = Left Joycon
Right Hand = Right Joycon

You just cant use 1 joycon. Need to use both.

that's how I always play my Switch at the TV never in the grip thing, but not as a handheld of course!

It uses motion control pointing instead of IR/sensor bar pointing.
