I bet there will be a whole lot of idiots trying to get to NK now. Banning it just makes it more interesting for some folks.

Official member of VGC's Nintendo family, approved by the one and only RolStoppable. I feel honored.

Another horrible decision you mean.
If you live in US and want to travel anywhere yoi have the right to do it.
People shouldn't celebrate having rights taken away from them.

Individual rights and freedoms are certainly important. But they have to be weighed against a hostile foreign power that is steadily encroaching on a point at which US allies and troops are put into danger.

More than the personal safety of the would-be tourist is at stake here.

Why on earth would you want to travel to NK to begin with? Unless you have relatives over there.

If you have relatives in NK, chances are you are a North Korean refugee, in which case going back would be suicide x.x

Or you are South Korean, but the two governments have special events for reuniting elderly Koreans who want to see their family after decades and before they die.

Good. This should prevent future Otto Warmbier incidents. What happened to him was tragic.

This. We don't need NK having any leverage against us. And having our citizens there gives them that potential

Disagree with it. If people want to go to dangerous foreign countries where there's a very real chance they could be tortured/killed then that's their right to make that choice, their government shouldn't try to stop that.

Agreed, people have the right to make moronic decisions, it's not up to the government to decide for people.

I wasn't aware of that. Strangely civil of them

And if they are captured, who will be liable in helping that person get back onto American soil?

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

Not sure I'm in favor of the ban. More restrictions, whether or not it be for the protection of the people, is just moving this country in the wrong direction.

What's going to happen to Dennis Rodman?
