Forums - Music Discussion - Linkin Park Singer Chester Bennington Found Dead From Apparent Suicide

RIP Chester. May you find peace. I was a fan of Linkin Park back in the day.

Always hated Linkin Park music but he was a good vocalist, a suicide on such a short age is always a tragedy, I imagine there will be a huge amount of people shocked by this.

Linkin Park was a huge part of my teenage years. Hybrid Theory and Meteora especially.
I remember relating so much to that feeling of powerlessness and the desire to push back against it, be stronger than that and get yourself to a better place.
Even though I fell out of love with Linkin Park with their later albums those early years will always mean a lot to me and I wish I could have seen them live back then.

Sad to see him go out like this.

Wow thats crazy

I was just listening to his music earlier today on my way to work... geezzz.

When my brother told me i thought he was joking.
Feels unreal...

This must be really hard on his family and friends. :(

Suicide is no joke, whatsoever.
If you ever find yourself questioning your value in this world or the point of living and moving forward, always keep this number close by: 1-800-273-8255.
And just remember that you are not alone, you are never alone. You DO matter. You will ALWAYS matter. There are people who love you and care about you. Never ever be afraid to turn to them and lean on them. Because they will always be there for you.

This is shocking. I never cared for Linkin Park music but I loved his famous scream. He was with my favorite band of all time, Stone Temple Pilots for a bit, I think he did a good job at replacing Scott Weiland, the best rock frontman of all time.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

We live in an oddly interconnected yet isolated time so it is a good sentiment to share.

Always a shame when someone goes down this path, for them, and those they leave behind.

Wow. Not a fan of most of LP's stuff but he was very talented.

Sucks for his kids.
