Not sure this is gaming discussion... I'll move it for you :P

I think it was to circumvent the political thread ban that he has.

He will probably survive this also. Good genes. Mom is 105.

...to avoid getting banned for inactivity, I may have to resort to comments that are of a lower overall quality and or beneath my moral standards.

Well, I'm hoping so. But CNN is saying he has a "primary glioblastoma", which has a very low survival rate.

Made a bet with LipeJJ and HylianYoshi that the XB1 will reach 30 million before Wii U reaches 15 million. Loser has to get avatar picked by winner for 6 months (or if I lose, either 6 months avatar control for both Lipe and Hylian, or my patrick avatar comes back forever).

I was going to move into general, but accidentally left it in gaming. It is general dicussion, as this is about his health, not anything politic.

That's a terrible fate for anyone. So, I wish him the best.

As for his politics, he's among the worst we have here in the USA. He's a warmongering scumbag. I hope he never steps foot in the Senate again.

Terrible news! He's one republican I do have much respect for. I liked how he was not afraid to voice his disapproval of many of Trump decisions.

Signature goes here!

My grandmother was diagnosed with brain cancer when she was 80. She's 85 now and still kicking. He's got a chance.

brain cancer =/= brain cancer

I read up on glioblastoma and the prognosis for this type is extremely bad, because it's growing rapidly and invasively, meaning a good amount of it's cells are invading healthy tissue and regrow the tumor there after the main tumor is surgically removed

if your grandmother has the same type of cancer she is part of just 4% of >50yo patients that live that long with it (and that's only for patients where removal of the main tumor was an option and had good results - without surgery just 1% are alive after 3 years)

that explain his speech problems. Kind of weird that no one of his relatives, friends and colleagues noticed before his TV appearance.

I would add that the man is 80. Nothing "devastating" or "terrible" here, it's called life, it's got to end one way or the other at some point.

I hope I'll live to be 80. And I really hope I'll only get cancer when I'll be 80. That's lucky nowadays

That sucks. Hopefully he gets past it but if he can't, might as well start checking things off his bucket list.
