When my Switch is docked and I'm playing online with the voice chat app, I would have a Bluetooth headset for my phone and the charger for my phone. That's all you'd really need. The dock stuff on the Switch would be hooked up anyway. If you want game audio through the headset, that's a whole different but optional thing.

That said, no one in their right mind would use this app as it is now anyway.

Hmm? When you say "the voice chat app", you either mean the Nintendo app, or Skype.

Assuming Nintendo's app: So when Switch is docked you don't need the connector?

Because according to the schematics your headphones are supposed to pug into that, and not into your phone.
So then why is it needed when Switch is undocked?

Assuming Skype: That still doesn't seem to explain your comment about how Nintendo's solution needs no more cables than what you are talking about. You only need 0-2 cables. The Switch app needs 3-5 cables.

Oh, I see what you mean. No, no. That abomination is a third-party thing by Hori so you can get the game audio through the headphones too. Which I don't care about. You can just use normal headphones on your phone for the voice chat audio Still, I'd never use Nintendo's app anyway if it doesn't let you lock your phone.

Regular battery and charger are standard so I can see their greadness not being a real issue, and on PS3/4 you can take some screws and change the battery so even though it isn't exaclty fantastic it's doable.

Not ideal unscrewing electronics. Not everyone has a willingness to do that.
Your local supermarket is unlikely to stock the required lithium battery anyway.

Hello Nintendo, please read this.

Bluetooth headset. Connects to console via Bluetooth, just like the Joycons. Nintendo Switch Online app on console. Speaks with friends and creates lobbies without fucking phone interfering.

Done. You can thank me later.

Both true... but if talking about using it 10 years latter it isn't all that unaceptable, altough in Brazil they still sell PS1 and PS2 controllers in several stores (more common than PS3 and PS4, at least the knock-offs) and you can still play with cable.

That's exactly what I let them know in the app feedback XD.

Well, right now it's a freaking disaster. Even PSP did it better. Hell, on Vita I can use a Bluetooth headset and be 100% wire free. About this mess, I would say that you still need a power cord or at least to plug the phone to a powerbank, the screen + VoIP will kill the battery in 1 or 2 hours tops.

Anyway, at least it is a temporary solution until the premium NN is up, but they really, really need to get out of 2003.

They should put you on their board of directors to keep them sensible.

Thank you, I think that as well I may not know a lot about electronics, but I sure as hell know how to think systems.

I need an application form.

Also, voice chat functionality aside, if you try to disable Push Notifications it sends you to the Android App settings. Doesn't even work from the app natively.
Did the programmers not take Android 101?

Actually no, the app stops working if you try to do anything else with your phone, so you won't be able to use to order your chips.

I'll direct you to this thread for reference as to why I said that: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=230490&page=1

Also, I didn't mention ordering chips. Goodness Ka-pi!
