Call 8 people? Lol? That's why things like this are nice it's group chat not phone call limitation.

Ok, go with Discord.  Or any of the other choices out there for a third party app designed for people to talk to each other that isn't tethered to a specific environment.  Point is, for Nintendo to link their voice chat to another device through an app is unnecessary when the tech already exists for them to have thrown it in the system itself in the first place.

Nintendo doesn't waste money on unnecessary things. If it seems redundant then that is because they haven't revealed it's full function yet.

I try to keep my game room as a food-free zone.

I think most eat while gaminh. I myself workout a bunch and need to eat a lot so I usually have a bag of organic pistachios and raisens near the computer to nibble on.

I take breaks from gaming to eat.

I literally have no way to logically respond to such blind faith.  Carry on.

Wii Vitality Sensor XD.

I think that whatever they do, a voice chat app outside the Switch doesn't make any sense to me. At least, just let it be optional.

Smartest choice honestly. No distractions prevents you from blindly eating too much, and gives you the needed time away from screens.

I find it hard to complain too loudly considering the app is free. There needs to be something better when Nintendo wants to start charging for online though.

Yeah, I hadn't even thought of the eating too much argument.

I mean, I get it Nintendo. Or not really, but I can accept it. I carry my phone around all the time, and it is almost always charged. It is unlikely I'll have my Switch and not my phone.
That said, the least they could have done is make the App not utter shitty. A useful quick and helpful companion App that could be functional and practical.

But no.

Hey! The vitality sensor sounded cool. There was talk of using it in rpgs and horror games!
