Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Don't forget to leave feedback on the Nintendo App

Let me start off by saying, I'm a huge Nintendo Fan, some on here have even called me a "fanboy" (hate that term). This whole app though is terrible. What's even worse is that it has 4 stars on the App Store. I don't see anyway to defend having to use this app for a central part of gaming. I'd understand if it was optional (like the system had these capabilities built in, but using the app when you're on the go might be easier). Just remember to leave them feedback on the app as you can inside the app. I can't believe that you can't even leave the app/have it running in the background.

I saw a pic of it, I think it said that the rating was 4.3? So unfortunately it looks like it's having pretty good reception, at least on the store front.

I didn't had the chance to fully test the app, because the only game supporting it isn't even out, yet. I'm gonna see for myself what this is all about.

Also, Nintendo will listen to feedback and fix the issues with it.. .hopefully.

Just saw this on youtube:

Intel Core i7 8700K | 32 GB DDR 4 PC 3200 | ROG STRIX Z370-F Gaming | RTX 3090 FE| Crappy Monitor| HTC Vive Pro :3

They need to update it so it can work when the phone goes into sleep mode.

How anyone can rate it is beyond me. It hasn't fully launched until it works with a get, then we can rate it. We shouldn't even be discussing this yet. It's like reviewing a cake before the icing is added to it.

Except here we know the app is an unnecessary workaround to something that could've been included with the system itself.

Stupid fanboys giving it a 5.

The app it a 1/5. It's 2017. Bad enough requiring a phone, but not allowing ingame+voicechat audio at the same time and needing to keep the phone on and on the app makes it pathetic. Was this all seriously necessary? Couldn't we get the option to either voice chat on the switch or on phones?

Sorry, but I like the idea of being able to leave my switch to go get a bag of chips and still talk with people while my phone is on me.

Can we just wait for the app to be fully functional ? Even if the concept seems cumbersome now, doesn't mean the we have enough to judge the whole thing. Nintendo has yet to reveal the full detail of their online plan and how the app will be part of it. They're releasing it now for the launch of Splatoon and that's it.

Let's put Nintendo's feet to the fire, to have a higher chance of change.
