Forums - Movies & TV - 9 years ago The Dark Knight was Released.

The best part about the film was easily Heath Ledger. The film should have been called: "The Joker" and not "Batman" and focused in on that character, it was the highlight of the entire trilogy.

They could have cut out all of the stuff about two-face towards the end and I would not have even cared.

With that, the Jokers character has been ruined for me, no one is ever going to top Heath Ledger's version in my opinion... So different Joker portrayals always feels a little off like the Joker in Suicide Squad.

Sad that the Trilogy has some massive loose-ends still hanging, we don't know what happened to Joker (for obvious reasons), two face was non-existent in the sequel (I doubt they would have simply disappeared), Robin didn't get a good look in. (Why bother showcasing the character if it's never going to get screen time?)

And I could go on...

already owned the Dark Knight on Blu-Ray, but due to an amazing deal, I bought the whole trilogy yesterday.

Best superhero movie until The Dark Knight Rises imo.

Heath Ledger is the best Joker ever. Shame he died at such a young age. He can accomplish more if he's still alive right now.

A handheld gamer only (for now).

Has yet to be topped by another superhero movie. It transcends its genre.

Watchmen? Guardians of the Galaxy?

Their all great movies, its hard to pick between them.

My vote goes to Guardians of the Galaxy though, I think it a better movie than the dark knight is.

Drugs suck... and it sucks more when a talented actor dies right as he finally has a massive breakthrough.

I think it's extremely overrated. It's a decent superhero movie, yes, better than most of the ones that have come out since. And much better than it's mediocre prequel and its terrible sequel. It still suffers from poor editing and too many plotholes, and Christian Bale was never a good Batman in my eyes.

Definitely not the best hero film but it was good.

Not as good as TDKR in my opinion, but yeah still the second best super hero movie ive seen.

My thoughts exactly. That sequel is one of the worst big movies, I would watch a documentary on why it was so bad, what happened.

Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

It's weird, I think I saw this movie 3 times in theaters. The first time, I hated it (especially the first half). The gun shots were sooo loud in that movie in a theater it hurt my hearts/head. Everytime I watched after I loved the movie, though. I've thought about buing the blu release of the trilogy since I've only ever seen them in standard definition, but now that they aren't cannon with current DC movies I just can't bring myself to do it.
