Forums - Gaming Discussion - Kingdom Hearts 3 will have fewer Disney worlds than KH2

Not much that can be done about it. It's the price gamers will have to pay for the notably shorter development time of the latest Kingdom Hearts.

More like budget issues and difficulty with HD/new textures. If KH3 was coming out on PS2, it would be just as large.

well, KH2 had 15 worlds, so i think maybe 10 - 12 in KH3 is a safe bet. So far we know of 6

Twilight Town
Mt. Olympus
Kingdom of Corona
San Fransokyo
Mysterious Tower
Toy Story

Seeing as how they planned on using more modern Disney properties I think its safe to say we could see worlds based on Wreck-It Ralph, Frozen, and who knows, possibly even Moana. They could even branch out to other Disney properties like with Toy Story and have worlds based on the MCU and Star Wars.

That's okay. Even 8-10 is perfectly fine if the current gameplay trailers will be as good as the final product

I wish Square Enix would have just put all their effort into Kingdom Hearts 3, teased FFVII next year and release a full KH3 without any constraints and release FFVII on PS4/PS5 probably in 2020. They announce stuff too doggone early. I'm sure the worlds are bigger and better than ever so I can sort of understand, I'll just have to wait until, allegedly 2018 to play it.

I think this has nothing to do with less budget or whatnot. Its simply because ach world feels much bigger and full of stuff, so while a world took betwenn 1 and 2 hours to finish playing normally in KH II, I think in KH III they can go up until double, because they feel more full and bigger.

Plus, he said that there is fewer Disney wrolds, not fewer worlds. And since this is the last entry in the Seeker Of Darkness Saga, we could expect more unique worlds from the KH universe to show, such as Traverse Town, Keyblade Graveyard and Castle Oblivion/Land of Departure, and so on.

And who knows, we might see for the first time a world fully dedicated to a FF game!(Please be Spira, pleaseeee)

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

When did they say that?If Nomura did, it was years and years ago, and things change.I mean, we are getting a Toy Story world after years of asking, so the possibility is there.Never said it was likely though.

I don't mind getting less worlds as they seem way bigger, more interesting and with more environment variety than the ones in KH2. Quality over quantity.

Nah, they just took a good hard look at the game and figured it's time to dial down the Disney stuff a bit. A few sequels later they will finally have their legit Final Fantasy spinoff.
