Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Quick Switch Availability Poll [Update]

How has finding a Switch been for you?

I want it and found it. 170 57.63%

I want it and can't find it. 67 22.71%

I don't want it. 58 19.66%

Total:295

So the last two polls revealed a couple of crazy data points: in both May and June, 67% of people who wanted the Switch were able to get one. It's pretty remarkable that an entire month left 33% still waiting to obtain a NS.

Over time, if the drought persists, I may chart the trend lines. For now, I'm just curious to see if there's been any substantial change in supply vs. demand.

I got mine the minute it launched and rarely see one on the shelf. I live in a major city area. If I see one, it's gone when I come back later in the day.

I got one on the 10th. Got it 2 days early from Amazon. I love Amazon shipping, they almost always deliver early!

I only got it cause my uncle told me it was stocked. I tried to get one many times and couldn't.

I got my Switch in the middle of the first large drought back around March 16th. I went into Best Buy being stupid and hoping they still had one, and to my amazement, they had 5 grey systems (no neon). I live in a smaller area, but it's the only decent sized town within 100 miles, so we keep pretty good stock of everything, and I haven't seen a Switch on any store shelf since the launch of ARMS.

I think its slowly becoming a lot easier to find a Switch randomly. I went to Target yesterday in a pretty populated area to just look around late in a day (way after a shipment would be put up), then in the cabinet there were about 4-5 grey Switches with 2-3 neon Switches. I already had one from Best Buy (they delivered it a week before release with no games to play...) so I was just like "oh cool"

I think the shop near me has around 1-2 Switches. I want it but I can't afford it atm because I'm a poor guy

A handheld gamer only (for now).

Haven't really been to any shops that sell console's in a while, but a few weeks ago I saw a handful of Switches in two different places. Seemed like a similar number to every other console they were selling as well. Impossible to say though how many of each they had in storage, rather than on shelves.

Local store had 7 the other day. I've had mine since launch.

Next time, I really need to add regions, but the results are only checking in marginally better (so far).

Don't want one, at least not anytime soon, but they're available in my country. Then again, Uruguay is an extremely small market and the best place to buy them at a decent price is in the tax free zone of the Airport, $ 400 vs $ 700 in retailers on the rest of the country.
