80% chance this is vaporware. 20% chance it is going to play classic games. 0% chance it will have modern console specs. In fact, if they attempt to make into a modern console, they'll make it 100% vaporware.

If it's name is any indication of the type of creativity we can expect from the rest of the system, it's gonna be awesome. Atarii-U and Ataristation were probably the runners-up when names were bandied about. Good luck to them though. I hope too many lives aren't ruined because of this thing.

It reminds me of the Phantom from back in like, 2000 (for those too young, look it up). It's probably totally vaporware.

On a side note, this really makes me wish Sega would come back and slay with a new console. Their IP is so rich and deep that it seems totally doable. I know they were almost broke but they've made that money back now and all they'd have to do is hire the right people to steer the ship.

Classic Atari.

The Atari Flashback 8 is on the horizon, and will serve as the NES Classic.  So the Ataribox better be more... a lot more.
