Their review is already up, 6/10

Wow, that was surprising!

They gave a high score to the first Splatoon though.

Yep, but that was a different reviewer. I think. I might be wrong though.

Well great score!I expected a bit more at 87, but at 84 is still very good, considering that the original game got a score of 81 and it was good and sold amazingly.

I think what it most hold it back was an amazing single player. The single player, by the looks of it, is just good, and they went safe most likely because of the time they had to make the game, so due to the they couldnt risk making something ambitious that could hold the release schedule back

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

I mean, I think the first one is a solid 8 through & though. Nintendolife seems to give anything release at least a 9 or 10. To be honest I try to avoid any reviewer that has the name of the console in their url. Not saying they can't be trusted. Just saying that I don't trust them.

A meaningful single player definitely would've dragged the game out of the "more of the same" category.

Looks like it will settle at around 83. This time without the content excuse... Dat Nintendo Life response to unfavorable reviews tho.

Pretty good scores regardless.

The game doesn't have a lot of content actually, it will be supported with free DLC for a year however.

Reviews for Splatoon and Arms are irrelevant. The games will get better and better as time passes and they will sell very well.

Not bad so far. I'm gonna go with an 85 as the end result.

Why do you have to be this annoying in every Nintendo thread? That was never an excuse, even IGN updated its score from 7.9 to 8.6 after the new content, stop lying.

I agree, which is why I also didn't expect high reviews for Splatoon 2 because I figured that reviewers would dock it for lack of initial content and for not 'feeling' like a true sequel.  The idea of witholding content and giving it out for free gradually to keep people coming back is something that I think only Nintendo a few other developers can get away with because the foundations for their games are good and unique enough for them to get away with it.  They essentially traded away better initial scores for ARMS and Splatoon 2 to keep the online community for each game active for a longer period of time.

I am expecting an 86 to be honest. Not every great game has to be 90+ lol.
