Wii U goes offline in

2018 44 44.00%

2019 31 31.00%

2020 17 17.00%

1,000,421 8 8.00%

Total:100

Probably until Smash 5 arrives which my guess is 2019.

When the next Smash comes

Once it does, there's literally no point in the Wii U

2017 will be the last year.

I guess Nintendo will let it alive until they stop the free online for Switch.

Why would they let a free online alive on a old console when they can make money easily with the new ?

PS3 and Vita still offer free online play.

I'd hope at least until Smash Switch comes out. That's all I use my Wii U for anyways.

Also, fun fact: All of the Call of Duty games on Wii, except World At War, still have online

And goldeneye still play the game daily so much fun

Until they ported everything relevant over to the switch.

“It appeared that there had even been demonstrations to thank Big Brother for raising the chocolate ration to twenty grams a week. And only yesterday, he reflected, it had been announced that the ration was to be reduced to twenty grams a week. Was it possible that they could swallow that, after only twenty-four hours? Yes, they swallowed it.”

If Nintendo is Sony 2026 or later, if Nintendo is Nintendo then 2019

I agree with when the new smash comes out, but why would they make a completely new smash? The Wii U version is a wonderful base to bundle together assets. I predict that Switch Smash is going to be the definitive version of Smash Brothers. They will bundle updated resolution versions of all features, stages, and play modes from other versions. There may be a new single player mode and a few new characters or promise of new ones later.
