Just curious. With Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart on the Switch, there's less and less reason to fire up the ol' Wii U for a bit of online action. It's just a matter of time before it goes the way of the Wii.

So how long do you think it will be before online becomes a thing of the past?

When the next smash brothers comes out.

I'd hope at least until Smash Switch comes out. That's all I use my Wii U for anyways.

Also, fun fact: All of the Call of Duty games on Wii, except World At War, still have online

They "should" keep it to atleast 2020, if they dont want to appear to be screwing their consumers over.

I feel like once the paid online comes out with the classic game streaming service, Wii U online will be dropped to put all attention and focus on that.

Yup lol. I guess they run on Activisions servers and World at War ran on some other server.

There's still a good amount of people playing each one which is a surprise.

That's crazy! I'd give anything to fire up Mario Kart Wii one last time. Good for CoD fans, though.

I hope they will support it for at least a few more years, until 2020 or later.
